It is the first mass antibody surveillance study to be rolled out across the country using a finger prick test that can be used by individuals at home if given approval in the future. Mass surveillance of antibodies in the population is vital to track the extent of infection across the country and identify differences between areas and different groups of the population.

While research showed several finger prick tests were accurate enough for large-scale surveillance studies to monitor the spread of COVID-19, no antibody fingerpick test has yet met MHRA criteria for individual use, which means none are currently approved for use outside of surveillance studies.

Health Minister Edward Argar said:

Large scale antibody surveillance studies are crucial to helping us understand how the virus has spread across the country and whether there are specific groups who are more vulnerable, as we continue our work to drive down the spread of the disease.

We don’t yet know that antibodies provide immunity to coronavirus, but the more information we can gather on this virus, and the easier we can make it for people to participate in these studies, the better equipped we will be to respond.

The British public have already played a massive part in helping to keep the country safe and I’d urge them to consider signing up to one of the many vital surveillance studies taking place over the coming months as part of our national testing effort.

The results showed antibody test is important for several reasons and it needs to be done again WITH a more accurate test kit. STEP forward ODX.

The report talked about sensitivity and specificity. NO ONE in the world has the level of sensitivity and specificity like ODX. Over 98% accurate. Compare that with what's out there, 70% or less. This research was done with test kits that are not accurate and the report has stated this.

Gov MUST now give out the contract so that UK-RTC can start to produce.
If this gov does not want them, other govs will buy this test kits for more than £1.50. USA will take everything we can produce for £5+. Saudi may pay even more.

NOTE:

EVERY confirmed covid 19 case was found to be antibody positive.

You will not find anyone that has been reinfected = antibodies do work. (Science cannot confirm this at present - how much or how long , not yet known)

If you're new, this is a very cheap entry. ODX is at the business end with so much new coming this month.

I've been called a deramper for saying that is neither a but or a sell. spread betting companies settling at the end of everyday. You see this on other shares too.

I was expecting India end of July or early August. Contracts can involve lawyers , amendments etc. I would have to put the delay down to that. However, ODX needs to deliver numbers now.

Approvals must be due now. GDR has been disappointing to say the least. It's been a long wait for many of us.With approvals, i expect to see contracts. 30% down now but i could be 10% up as soon as news drops. DB needs to give lth a decent RNS. FDA now would be perfect.
