The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
UN Security General, speaking now...states Ukraine and Russia provide 30% wheat to developing nations, as well as oil etc. Predicts huge hunger crisis esp in developing countries. 45 countries in Africa alone import 50%+ wheat from Russia and Ukraine. Their already covid hit economy will not cope. He calls for immediate peace with talks. He calls this a nightmare and serious negotiations must take place now.
Kammy, the only ones profiting are the likes of Lockheed Martin , general dynamics etc. Arms dealers. Look at their chart last month on google.
Mac, correct, ftse, 250, AIM all flying.
comfortably in the 8s.
We may see 9s today but i'm sure it will keep going up in the next sessions. Its a slow raise back up to double digits me think.
Peace talks ongoing. Both sides want this to end with talks. The Russians may push more to strengthen their negotiation position but Ukraine has been given a clear message. The only ones that want this war to go on and on are the west., esp the US. Hard talk and adding fuel to the fire when they should be doing the opposite. Putting Ukrainian lives at risk for their agenda. GLA

MOSCOW, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Russian troops have destroyed a concrete dam built in Ukraine's Kherson Region in 2014 to cut off water to Crimea, the RIA news agency quoted the governor of Russian-annexed Crimea Sergei Aksyonov as saying on Saturday.
Ukraine cut off the fresh water supply to Crimea by damming a canal that had supplied 85% of the peninsula's needs before Moscow annexed Crimea in 2014.
The Soviet-era canal was built to channel water from the River Dnieper to arid areas of Ukraine's Kherson region and Crimea.

The above is from 15 days ago. Its the first thing the Russian troops did when they invaded Ukraine and you don't think its a factor?
It's not just me, many think this is the root cause of the conflict. I can't confirm but some say peeps only get water for a couple of hours a day in Crimea and that is wrong. You can imagine the impact on businesses and people living there .... I've given you enough info. They need to negotiate and end this nonsense ASAP.
As for EUA, i hope we get news this week. Its been easy to get a sell quote for any amount suggesting buyers are happy to take them. A bounce is coming news or no news. GLA
Mr_Wolfe,
A dried-up canal running from Ukraine into Russian-occupied Crimea is emerging as one of Europe’s main flash points.

You may not think this is one of the main reasons, but why would the Russians remove it?
Russia bombs dam constructed by Ukraine to quench Crimea's thirst ------ this was one of the first thing Russia did after invasion, 28th Feb

Russia-annexed Crimea finally got access to fresh water after eight years when the invading Russian military bombed down a dam built by Ukraine that blocked flow from the Dneiper river, writes Sanjib Kr Baruah. ETV Bharat had reported on January 24 how water will become the root cause for a full-blown war.
The solution to this war is easy. Agree not to block water, remove plan to join NATO. That will be done in the next few days imho. GLA

Politics is complex. What you're told by MSM is not always the MAIN reason for the war.
I will guarantee you that the main negotiation point in the Ukraine v Russia war is WATER! others inc NATO, geopolitical control of chock points etc
85% of water to Crimea used to flow from Ukraine. That was recently blocked with a dam by Ukraine leaving over 2 million people in Crimea to rely on only rain water. If you don't know about the huge water shortage in Crimea , you might want to google it. Or watch these vids. PS, it has been said that the Russians have now taken out the dam.

Fresh water is a huge issue in the world. The UN security counsel has held over 10 sessions on cross boarder rivers . Is this the first war about fresh water?
Jonny,
Russia is the largest wheat exporter in the world followed by Canada and the United States.
Ukraine is 4th on the list i think.
Poor countries need Russia and Ukraine.
Main stream media is agenda driven and they often put fuel to the fire when they should be doing the opposite.
I hope more progress is made this weekend to end this war. GLA
things are looking positive
There are a few sellers as we climb but the MMs will clear them and keep going up. Those trading may have to pay more to get back in or lose shares if it continues to climb like it is at the mo.
I did say its going proper blue.
Volume increasing
There is only 1 solution and that's diplomacy.
The world needs Russia and Russians need the world. We're already seeing the impact here , paying £1.61 for petrol.
Russia and Ukraine are the biggest wheat producers and exporters and the world needs both these countries. The impact in Africa is already much worse than the energy issue we see here in the west.
That's positive
The market now knows Russia will continue to supply Palladium. There won't be shortage as the west is not willing to sanction Palladium etc and Russia will not stop exporting it. Putin will not take assets of even those that left Russia as it will have a massive negative impact, read what the NN boss said yesterday. The US has also said such move would not be legal or should not happen.
Volume has picked up
8.29 being paid. A proper blue finish on the cards
That's positive news.
Even more important is that the USA is also looking for diplomacy to resolve issues.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price said on Thursday.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price said
“We have told the Ukrainian government in no uncertain terms that we stand ready to support any diplomacy it wishes to pursue. But, as we’ve always said, we will not push them into concessions,” Price stated during a press briefing.

EUA is nothing like EVR. EVR's major share holder is Roman A who is on the sanction list.
EUA do not have anyone connected to the government.
With the amount of Nickel and Palladium we have this could go mental as soon as peace talks result in cease fire.
climbing back again ....buyers are back
This is fantastic from our BOD.
