The best way to gage if we are building interest in construction which is one of our first markets is listening to some of our feed back so far from those field cases .
AFC are first working through major government backed projects such as Highways, rail, and of course HS2.
This means we would be looking to tie in with those larger construction companies in the main who operate in this field.
Large contractors such as Kier , Balfour Beatty, Mace, Keltbray , Colas . The first movers backed by government and Policy, funding and specific tendering to ensure that there is continued support and adaption to enable this to filter down to first mover hire companies and onto the rest of the construction sector in the UK .
VINCI, the largest construction company in the world.
"We are pleased to be working with AFC Energy to use hydrogen fuel cells to replace diesel generation onsite. It is part of our commitment to supporting VINCI's sustainability targets. "
Kier
"We are delighted to be working with AFC Energy on this pilot project. The generator is an important step towards the reduction of our carbon footprint and demonstrates how this can work in construction. Innovations such as this are essential to help all of us to achieve our carbon reduction targets and we are keen to embrace new sustainability supporting technologies on our construction sites "
Keltbray
National Highways is committed to aiming for net zero maintenance and construction emissions by 2040. We welcome innovations such as this hydrogen fuel technology, which support our ambitious program. The installation of these systems on sites like the M621 allows us to work with our supply chain partners to carry out real-world testing, refining performance and outputs, to determine the viability of such cleaner energy alternatives for use in construction in the UK."
Mace
HS2 is championing the use of environmentally friendly energy solutions across the project, and this is another great example of just that. Reducing the reliance on mains sources of power while still moving away from diesel generated power is critical for the UKs low carbon future and trialling the use of hydrogen power to charge electric machines and for plant equipment as a whole will be a major step forward for the wider construction sector."
As we draw closer to the release of the AFC 50kva generator a lot of ground work has all ready been laid.
By close of year we would have had 100s of large main contractors in construction sign a pledge to remove Diesel generators from their sites.
This is all moving in the right direction for AFC
This was a really good post from Southerhay a couple of days ago.
As we patiently await the next announcement for delivery of the larger unit to ABB, it’s goo to reflect on the fantastic achievements made over the past year or so :
- accelerated development of the S series system
- development of an ammonia cracker system that can be sold as a distinct marketable product that will deliver lower cost hydrogen
- development of a methanol reformer system that can be sold as a distinct marketable product that will deliver lower cost hydrogen
- ongoing development of Alkamem that will also be sold as a distinct marketable product once development has completed
- successful deployments into the construction industry helping these companies achieve sustainable non-diesel solutions helping to reduce particulate emissions that affect the health of each and every one of us!…
- Acciona
-keltbray
- mace
- Kier
- Successful validation of the 100kw S+ series for ABB. we now eagerly anticipate the arrival of the 200kw S+ unit with Ammonia integration. This unit alone will be enough to transform AFC allowing off-grid power generation for EVs as well as supplying full power capacity to major construction sites, powering all their power needs
- anticipated news around marine power but we know this will take longer to develop given the huge engineering involved in ship building.
- significant increase in quality employees with more vacancies shown on the website
This is just a small summary of the achievements so far by AFC and, as we look forward to becoming less dependent on oil and gas from the likes of Russia this will surely lead to a cleaner environment and greater energy independence. Exciting times ahead folks. Yes it’s painful as we begin the transition to Hydrogen, but it’s great to be invested in a GB company that will take us forward towards a cleaner and more sustainable world

Of course we take the mick out of DW here...that's all this board is good for.
The serious AFC debate, positive and negative, takes place elsewhere. And is all the better for not having some of those here present.
Moneysponge
Do you know what ten year DCF valuation means? As in the Zeus valuation.
It means the valuation RIGHT NOW. The very fact you do not know this shows your ignorance of such matters and that you should be ignored.
This is not appropriate for valuing a company at this stage.
I suggest you look at the research of:
Liberum - 85p
Zeus - 100p
Peel Hunt - 125p
All produced within the last few days or so.
Or are you more expert than they are??
O dear o dear. Do you people make any money investing? You seem very ignorant in how to value peri commercial opportunities. Ade especially who must have a broken abacus as he comes out with 12p.
I'm going to leave it there. This board no longer has any merit and feeding you derampers and your agenda is self defeating. Bottom feeders all.
Daz, firstly do you actually know what a DCF valuation is as your comment suggests you have no idea. Clue: It's nothing to do with current turnover.
Secondly a £1 valuation gives a MCap nowhere near £1Bn, just another example of the lies you spout to fit your agenda.
What a strange and nasty person you are.
That's completely wrong. Only three analysts cover...one is Panmure at pretty much Google's apparent consensus figure. One is Zeus at 100p ,and one is PH at just below £2.
But of course you know that Daz. Just more deliberate misinformation and lies to confirm your lack on honesty and honour.
Rubbish Daz. They are clearly expecting (or know that) the deals are being done right now that will result in orders anytime soon, and sales and revenue starting this October.
It is also not a case of back to the drawing board. AFC has three product lines. The PT is ready for sales (Acciona has already ordered), the S+ is quite advanced, and the cracker stuff is new and potentially game changing. The IP alone will already have a value. As you said, the brokers know exactly what AFC is doing and they say the PTs will bring in £6m revenue in the next 18 months. That's a ten fold increase in 24 over 23.
What is your agenda in putting the worst possible spin on everything AFC says and does. You clearly have one.
It was a real pleasure to see the webinar this lunch time and get a solid contemporaneous account as to where AFC is.
I get the sense of genuine commercial traction, and a lot of relationship building that will lay firm foundations for construction and EV in the near future, then data centres and finally marine. Institutional investors are coming on board, and AFC seems to be having regular conversations (which yield results) with some of the biggest players globally in multiple areas eg some of the world's biggest ship builders and the world's second largest construction company. The plant hire companies will soon be on board and discussions are on going.
I am also only just beginning to appreciate how big the NH3 cracker story might be. This could be the best cracker tech available and it will stand alone as a product (eg to re fuel hydrogen lorries) as well as supplement H2 power generators. No wonder they have set it up as a separate division. There must already be value attached to the IP and I will be very interested to see how the brokers value AFC now. Remember that before their valuations were based pretty much on EV only and were pre power tower, never mind pre cracker.
I think we might all agree that AFC had made errors in the past, but the pace of innovation and pipeline development in the last 12 months has been staggering. AFC has a very talented team, whatever you think of the CEO, and the new CFO seems a very safe pair of hands.
I do not expect some on this board (and we all know who they are) to change their tune (which is mainly for their own perverse and selfish gain), but speaking for myself I am more confident about the direction AFC is taking and that it will get there than I have ever been before.
Should anyone feel this is a ramping post, please look back at my posting history and you will see that I am anything but a serial ramper.
This is key. Look at the cost savings compared to the Power Tower. And it is right at the size required for genset displacement.
I don't think we will see many Power Tower sales...especially as AFC is comparing it negatively to its own newer products. This is where commercialisation starts and other constructors will view this news with great interest.
This is bigger than the RNS first seems.
