In short. My options were: burn to death, die of fumes or jump (which I had calculated would also be fatal). bald_eagle, I only posted to try and help you with your calculations and where you were going wrong. In accounting terms there is a difference between the calendar year (gregorian) and the financial year - albeit they can run parallel. In stating - as a company - that you are making 3 quarterly payments, in advance of a total dividend declaration for the financial year, and on pre-determined dates for a definitive amount, within a calendar year, it is an assurance to the shareholder/s that they will receive the said payments as a minimum for that particular financial year. The 2021 final declaration cannot be known until after the end of the financial year. I believe MrSoft was pointing out that the percentage yield from the dividend payments at the current share price over the course of the remainder of this calendar year 2020 - as a positive.

bald_eagle, the dividend has not increased by 26% . You are misinterpreting payment intervals and calendar year v financial year.
