We know the Chinese love this sector, so it could be that they are making a bid, but we don't yet know who is buying up the shares. The Chinese won't want to ever pay anywhere near asking price, so accumulation on the open market is probable, if they've thoroughly investigated and found something of high potential. The problem is, our ORE BOD, and this is only my opinion, may not have the necessary expertise to know just how good the Mutsk deposit can be, or if they do, then certainly not the funds to take it further. The Chinese will bring in their experts and go over it with a fine tooth comb. They can afford to do a smash and grab if the results are promising. Of course, I reckon shareholders will get very little if the Chinese have their way. A low ball special.
That's only if it is the Chinese, but more likely to be one of Birdy's preferred companies. Easy peasy for him then. Minimal effort. Maximum wages.
