The best vanadium exposure can be gained through Bushveld (BMN): they are already producing lots of it and they're carving more and more of the VRFB market for themselves (as electrolyte supplier and through stakes in VRFB producers, e.g. Invinity Energy).

Prof. Ferguson is worried because the protein spikes used by the active vaccine ingredients to recognise and attach themselves to the virus are very short in the Brazilian strain. In fact, all the spikes look like they've been neatly shaved, leaving only a tiny triangle...

Currently, the main use for vanadium is the production of reinforced steel used in construction. However, the high-margin business with vanadium, and one poised to grow exponentially, is VRFB: vanadium redox flow batteries. Unlike lithium batteries, they can be used to store large amounts of energy over longer periods of time, and they don't constitute a fire hazard. They are also scalable (just add more electrolyte to the tank).

They can't replace lithium batteries, and vice versa. That's why I've invested in both technologies. Lithium is all the hype at the moment, and it'll remain so for the foreseeable future. Vanadium is less known but will become more and more important over time.

Yes, Covid is here to stay, and that reality is starting to dawn upon more and more people. Unfortunately, a lot of crap gets published in newspapers like the Daily Express ("Free by the end of February", "Boris will beat the virus", etc., as recently as the beginning of this year) and people tend to believe that rubbish.

There's no way out of this mess other than a combination of effective treatment and vaccination. Whilst politicians keep banging on about vaccines, the equally important question of Covid treatments are completely forgotten. But vaccines are useless at saving lives here and now; we need an effective treatment! How many of you paid attention to the recent news about Synairgen's SNG001 (inhaled Interferon ß) which is likely to be the real game changer in the short to medium term? I bet only a few, because that important information has been drowned in the constant banging on about vaccines. Well, phase 4 trials have just begun, and an emergency approval in the US is expected soon. In addition to saving hundreds of thousands of lives, this is also a great investment opportunity. Have a butcher's at SNG; you won't regret it.

If we have a good run while expecting drilling results, and then the results are indeed tasty, then we could be on a bull run similar to UFO's between July and October last year. The sky is the limit!

The trading volume has been excellent this week: we've had two consecutive days of 133m shares traded. It hides well for next week. Honestly, I think Zak Mir's short-term target of 1.4p will be blown out of the water by Wednesday.

What's the situation with Solarworld like?

I don't know why but nickel somehow feels 'dirty'. Perhaps it's its traditional association with cadmium.

Vanadium is definitely my favourite because its potential is gigantic and it's under the radar of most people, let alone investors.

Mystic Meg isn't here but she's my sister and I talk to her pussy (cat) on a regular basis, so please count her in. Looking at how the situation is developing at the moment, I'd say the cat is on track to predicting the closest takeover price. (Her bid was at £42 but has now risen to £45.)

With ZNWD, I now have both sides of the "battery metals" covered: lithium here and vanadium at BMN. And I get double pleasure: my investment grows, and I'm helping the environment. In fact, I get even more pleasure because my wife has invested in these two companies too and she's very grateful for my tip (pun unintended).

Totally agree. The best shares are those that deliver at a steady pace. One has to believe in their success and sit tight. For me, this has proven a good strategy in BMN, GGP and SNG. All my attempts at short-term trading in "sexier" shares have been much less successful. (I have one going on at the moment - also in a "battery metal", like BMN - and it's going remarkably well so far but I'm sure any of the above long-term investments will beat it hands down.)
