Good volume today. Shares sold at 2.20p - 2.80p after the Rand's have been bought, so this will underpin the SP. When the good news lands next week, people will look at the last placing price and consider that the SP can multibag from there. Based on the previous lows, it would look pricier.

On a related topic: have Rio been active on their portion (s) of Scallywag? I haven't seen anything happen there yet. I suppose they're happy with Winu at the moment.

Amazing how many self-professed wise men bought it at a much lower price but still complain about the placing. If I were them, I'd be happily selling at a 200% profit and looking for another share to use my wisdom to make another 200%.

I suspect they have a fantastic imaginary portfolio where they bought their shares at the very bottom of the market.

It's possible that they'll drip-feed the results, starting next week. Hence 'over the coming weeks'. Perhaps the results are arriving in batches.

But this isn't AIM, it's the main market.

They weren't going to do a placing at a premium, were they? The SP was at that level just a few days ago.

It seems to me that bad news is extremely unlikely: if there was bad news, you'd see PI's being shafted via an open placing before dropping the news. This here is more like letting their best mates have a slice of the nice cake they know is in the offing. What other use is there for such a measly amount of money ( in corporate terms)? Note also that the placing price is above the warrant price.

I agree. Mates' rates at their best. I don't mind it as long as we all benefit in the end. If the shares are flipped quickly when admitted next week, it'll improve the available float.

It looks like Australian gold exploration is on a roll: Greatland, Antipa, Cobra, to name but a few.

No surprise here: the Australian government did its best to handle the Covid-19 situation without affecting the mining business.

On a separate note: I feel that a lot of people on this BB are bored because we don't see daily rises anymore. Patience is required. (At most four weeks till the next rocket ride.)
