If it was surescreen they would have all these manufacturers making them now and they would of had a larger contract.

Gov have put this project together and gave manufacturers a a test spec for all these manufacturers to make.
So no risk at all.
The missing link which reagent they are going to use Mologic Avacta or stick with Innova.
Mologic failed so it’s looks like Avacta if Avacta fail which very very unlikely then they could make the Chinese test here or ask surescreen to adapt their reagent.
But only affimers can supply the demand that’s needed so even if CV figures are lower they will still go with Avacta for the reagent supply.
Remember Al has said they have enough affimers in their new up and running facility to supply affidx.

Sure screen haven’t got the manufacturing capacity.
I think the tooling on machines that has already been installed with manufacturers wouldn’t be compatible with surescreen test.
Also what everyone is forgetting it’s only Avacta that could supply reagents in the numbers required for a sovereign test.

On 21 December 2020 we announced a licensing agreement with Astrea Bioseparations Limited (“Astrea”) for the use of the Affimer platform in affinity purification applications; £0.5m upfront payment and an ongoing services revenue stream plus a royalty on future product sales by Astrea.

So a triple pay day.
1. Upfront payment
2. They are paying for affimers supply.
3. Then royalties on any new products with affimers

With all the Covid activity the company has been doing, this proves we are not just a Covid company and we have revenue streams for a host of other applications.

KKR have funds worth $650 billion of total enterprise value.

KKR and co-investors have committed to invest $200 million in Gamma

Gamma Biosciences (“Gamma” or “the Company”), which will operate a portfolio of companies focused on next-generation bioprocessing technologies for the production of advanced biologic therapies.

Astrea Bioseparations Limited have just been bought by Gamma.

Once they start to see the power of Affimers, I think we will see a lot more of that $200 million from Gamma and probably a bit of KKR massive $650 billion fund.
