Agree. UBS as been a regular bear on bt. He’s rationale was over gloomy imho and not highlighting the growth coming. If anything there’s more upside risk than downside risk by a long way, especially if offcom, pension review ok, plus bt operational profit going forward come from a strong demand in data usage that is hear to stay, together with 2nd half year, pubs being open again to renew their bt sport contracts. Plus the cost cutting and return on new super fibre installation.
The sp still has masses of upside imho

There wasn’t a monopoly in this case. The case is built around wholesale price going down (the price by offer landlines to competitors, where’s bt retail price for landline went up.
So there was competition for the consumer to move too, if they wish
Can’t see this case having any legs as almost double jeopardy case in bt already made to reduce rate and case closed. Can’t go over the same case again, especially when mkt was competitive with other providers in the mkt and consumer had a choice too.

The rally is continuing. Mkt not seeing the trump shambolics as a mkt issue
Futures pointing up 60 points and us futures pointing to all time highs
Democrats getting control of senate more important to mkts as it will release trillions in infrastructure spending to boost investment and growth in world economy
Fleccy I thought higher last week too. But timing seems to happen when you least expecting it nowdays. Lots of short term position squeezing going on it seems in thin mkt like last week.
Real money should come in during Jan and bt next results at beg feb.
New lockdown gave the mkt a bit of kick in teeth this afternoon with ftse 250 finishing flat, but bt holding onto most of gains today, which is small positive for today at least
