I personally think the move has started recovery mode, but its slow in its move up inititially as there will be income funds, needing to sell some, due to cancelled dividend for next year and half and hence the price moves up slower, while these type funds sell. But the price action technically has changed bullish to me and as the income sellers get filled, the sp can then go up faster.

I think you've done a prudent buy. I personally think the dividend cancellation was extremely prudent for credit rating issues and the directors buying together, is a massive change for the long term trend downwards that has been seen for years.

Fleccy - have more short term faith in your purchase. As you say all along and quite rightly the sp fundamentals are too cheap and there’s a sentiment change happening slowly too to back up the timing of your purchase.
End of day you’d regret more not buying more if it goes up than missing out on a 8/10p dip. I personally think we will grind higher slowly, which is good real move too, when changing a long term trend

I think technically the share slow move recently and after the sub gbp1 clear out, is good sign for long term bull trend. It’s clearing income investors out that want income now and same time I see this at gbp2 when dividends resume in 18mths and that price will give decent 3.75 per cent yield and thereafter as stated by Jansen it will be a progressive dividend from there.

The people selling now because of no dividend for a bit making a mistake imho. But there will be quite a few.

Seeing 5 directors simultaneously buy last week, was biggest positive news for me in bt for years.

See more upside moves next couple weeks. By is just so cheap, even with the negative knowns.

It would be good if true for gains to be quick and the news will drive it higher anyhow. But even if isn’t bt is a real bargain down here sale or no sale.

So director buy news end of day, openreach rumours by ft and dow surge. What price should bt reach tom? 110p is my starting bid, any more higher bidders?

It would possibly insider trading but if you look at price paid. The shares were bought 2 days ago between 1.04/1.09 and declared today? Ie that doesn’t mean that’s not insider information.
But it’s not a confirmed deal, I presume the inside information maybe difficuilt to prove but fishy anyhow, as they would of got clearance from their compliance Dept first.

If the story was true I presume that pays all of bt debt but don’t Know how much the assets are worth in open reach that they lose?

It would reduce profit by quite a lot. But same time presume the gbp12bln investment in fttp wouldn’t happen.

But net net, some big mathmatically benefits for shareholders.

It is becoming one of those opportunity of life time purchase opportunities. We must see directors buying soon too. Ive just bought a little more but missed 99p area and had to pay 100.50p

Price looks so wrong under 100p. Sop loss hunting imho. Ridiculous short term phenomenon for me.
