I hope they win the case as I believe that re-schedules paying back the near $2B we owe.
Then I hope they put everything on hold, siting the Coronovirus pandemic and subsequent low oil price.
If they can do this I will be very happy and I should think the sp will rocket over 50p.
If they lose the case the RNS said the whole deal is off which is ok. Just a deal that is cancelled, so what?
That would leave the current loan arrangement which I read somewhere expires in May 2021 so would need to be re-negotiated before then. So just over a year off. We would need the oil price to improve somewhat obviously.

First of all One of the main Democratic contenders, Bernie Sanders would ban fracking if he got in.
Even if it's not him that bans fracking in the USA how can anyone be sure it won't get banned?
IMHO there must have been some clever sales people pitching to the likes of Occidental about the shale oil boom then selling them the land. Noble have a load too. Oh dear. Looks like some parts of the Permian basin were competitive and the sales men have hoodwinked some major players it seems.
Now we have WTI @ $33, and just about all the shale producers will lose money at that level. In fact they need it well above $40. $7 down the drain every barrel you sell. Ouch!
These oil Co's need to give up all but the most competitive shale oil fields. Then invest in say............. The Falklands! Or even the North Sea!!!

then the shale Co's in the USA will be going under at quite a pace over the coming months I should think. I bet the hedge funds are absolutely petrified of this possibility. The thing the Saudis and Russians should take on board is they will simply start up again when the oil price rises..... new management....... cheaper costs. having said that the USA produce 13m b.o.p.d if memory serves so i suppose a few million b.o.p.d could vanish. I read Occidental cut it's dividend by 86% and Noble are sufffering too. That was BEFORE the oil price sank 20% in one day. Maybe the russians do have a plan that makes some sense. Sink the oil price for a few months, then cut when x shale Co's have gone under????

Is the virus unable to attack certain people? Does it attack but somehow not damage anything? Does anyone have the foggyest? I worry they don't have a firking clue why. Seems scientists don't (amazing to me) know FOR SURE why flu and cold viruses are much more common in Winter. I say WHY THE FIRKING HELL DON'T YOU KNOW! FFS surely some of these multi billion pound industries have done some to me at least BASIC RESEARCH. What the hell have they been spending their money on? Athletes foot? Varuca's? Cough syrup? It's amazing that the common cold (100's of different types of coronovirus) has no cure to date. I bet they don't even know why we get colds during the Winter more than the Summer. Maybe their answer would be "Hmm... it's called a cold so you get it when it's cold?". Looking into this it's frightening what little us humans know about viruses. For heavens sake would it really be that hard to find out why FOR SURE why flu is much more common in winter. I am not convinced at all that much research has been done into this basic fact. FFS why? It is IMPORTANT, especially NOW.

Financing proposed acquisitions.
Erm.... I very seriously doubt PMO will be buying any assets from anyone anytime soon.
With brent sub $35 all oil Co's are cutting costs to survive.
Todays RNS says this:-

I think they aim to win the court hearing gtting the extension to the credit facilities.
Then put it on hold for 6 months.
Makes perfect sense to me.

had crashed so bad it was giving the impression PMO was going bust in a week. The RNS, in so many words says with Brent @ $35 PMO could weather the storm through 2020. I think the sp is a steal at around the 20p mark that it is at the moment. The oil price IMHO in highly unlikely to stay at $35 or below for the next 9 months. More likely it will avaerage say $45-$55. I believe Russia and OPEC will meet soon. In fact they said they were likley to meet again in March if memory serves. I think they will cut 1.5 or even 2m barrels a day.

If they don't win the court case then the deal to buy the BP assets if off, which would be good IMHO!! See the RNS about it. It says if they lose the case the deal will not happen.

the most likely outcome IMHO is PMO will win the court case, then put buying the BP assets on hold. Premier have World class assets without the BP ones they WERE going to buy IMHO. I can't see any way they will proceed with Brent @ $35.
