yesterday, presumably because Norwegian Cruise Lines results were not good over in the USA where they are listed on the NYSE, was ridiculous IMHO. I mean on 29th June CCL updated the market and it obviously went down extremely well. Then Royal Carribean on 28th July posted their results which included record Q2 revenues! Then Royal Carribean raised money. CCL had already raised $2 billion so was ahead of the game. Seems to me the 10% ish drop of Norwegian Cruise line shares yesterday was because the market half expected a fund raise from them too.
Bottom line is CCL have already raised $2 billlion which if needed, is there to pay off short term debt becoming due next year. The sp drop yesterday was due to Norwegian Cruise Lines results and frankly ridiculous. Sp up 1.5% thus far today. Hopefully we will get back the other 5% by close of play. It's a mad market.

It's amazing. The shorting Co's obviously just want volatility, hopefully caused by themselves so they can force prices down, then buy back at a lower cost making their money. Fair enough I suppose. CCL's sp appears to have declined because ANOTHER cruise line Co, less than what 2 weeks since CCL's own update has released (which the market loved) I presume bad news (For Norweigan Cruise Lines). How mad is that! Shows how easily some investors are easily scared causing them to sell. Logical ....... no. Makes no sense in fact. However the shorting Co's had the perfect scenario.
CCL's shares up 6 days on the trot. Now I expect the shorting Co's to buy back in to make their money. Says 8.5% down now. I'll be astonished it it's not pulled back say 5% of that by the time the USA markets close. CCL likely willl end up down today but it won't be anything like 8.5%.

CCL go up 6 days in a row after trading updates from CCL and Royal Carribean.
Then Norwegian Cruise lines have, I presume, bad results. So the big shorting Co's see the opportunity to sell CCL shares causing CCL sp to go down more than it would have with many investors having recently bought who are up. So the investors that recently bought see the sp sliding and sell too. Then the shorting Co's what........ at the end of the day buy back in. Win on the down side and then on the up tomorrow. All in a good days work?? May well be true.

just because the market does not like Nowegian Cruise Lines figures that came out earlier in the USA. However both Carnival and Royal Carribean have very recently updayed the markets and the markets liked those updates! Mad or what!?

I'm betting this down 5% is simply a blip. Both Royal Carribean and Carnival have had news that pleased the markets recently, mostly due to some record bookings. CCL's sp was some £35 per share before covid. Although they have issued shares since then to ensure they can cover short term debt.

for the cruise ship Co's generally and in many cass are comparible to 2019 figures or better. So the future is looking rather good. Of course any saddled with large debt will need to manage that until they are out of the woods. CCL have raised $2 billion in just the last few months because of this and so hopefully it's PLAIN SAILING from here. LOL!

They have been negatively impacted by the Ukraine conflict. From the ammouncement:-
"As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the effects of the Russia-Ukraine conflict".
I don't think CCL are affected at all by the conflict, or if they are it's extremely small.
All will be well I think.
The 5.5% drop is more a chance to buy IMHO than anythng else.
I'm buying some more.

The sp here is down 5%. I don't see why just because another cruise lines figures are out later the sp should be down. Lots of cruise lines in the world and NCL's figures may be fantastic for all we know. Interesting CCL's sp zoomed up yesterday........... Wonder if some news leaked! If so good news coming!

Well, looking at the chart CCL was 641p on 1st August and is now 741p on 9th August.
So about 100p increase in 8 days, about 12p per day.
Looking good. Down 1.6% at the moment but after 6 days of gains one expects a slight pull back as some take profits. I expect it to resume the upward course tomorrow, or even this afternoon. What a share to have!
