Looking at the chart it peaked around $129 a barrel early March and now it's $46 dollars a barrel lower!
I think I'd be right in saying Brent crude @ $83 is in the "normal trading range" now so to speak. Amazing.

This news is excellent news for all airlines and cruise ship Companies. In fact it is very good news for just about all Companies except oil Companies! Also will have a very good effect lowering inflation.

As I have said before Royal carribean, Norwegian and Carnival have ALL previously said their bookings are good so the sp here if you ask me is beyond a joke. Presumably, assuming the news is as I expect, the sp will be North of £8 by close of play this Friday. In which case the sp now would be a complete steal. Up to you.

The sp seems to indicate a total disaster! But what about the record bookings? Where is the evidence of record bookings? Here:-

Did the pent up demand after covid fall off a cliff? Seems a tad unlikely to me but believe what you like!
Alternatively have the shares been manipulated down so an investor, or some investors can buy in low??? Perish the thought! That sort of thing does not happen, does it??
So will the sp be at near £8.00 by close of play this Thursday? Surely not as it's down to £7.08 at the moment.

Seems totaly crazy to me that Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Carribean have all reported extremey good bookings, yet the sp's seem to say that is total rubbish!! ? Does the market know more than the accounts departments at these Companies? Anything is possible I suppose. Seems incredibly unlikely to me. Believe what you like of course. My belief at the moment is simply the Cruise line Co's are still benefitting from pent up demand after covid and especially the further relaxing of the covid boarding rules which was quite recent. Also people that cruise on ships are not generally the sort of people who struggle to pay their bills, are they?

inflation will be a lot lower as both crude oil and the price of gas are loads down on what they were.
I have a feeling the Chancellor of the uk is aware that inflation is diving down already and that is why they risked the stimulus today. By the time it kicks in inflation will be a lot, lot lower IMHO. Looking ahead a bit may be risky but we know inflation is being caused by the high energy costs and we know that have fallen a lot so far this Month.

This is ridiculous. CCL are due to give an earnings update next Thursday and recently they said on on day they received more bookings than they had in one day EVER. So it's difficult to believe this earling update will be bad frankly. Insane market today and why I just bought some @ £7.07p.
By the end of next week we will know if that was a good decision.

the price of oil is down, yet the shares that benefit from this, like Airlines and Sea cruise Companies shares go down as well. Shows how mental the markets really are if you ask me.
Also if the price of oil is down a lot (as it is) then inflation will be going down, obviously.

I agree. The price of oil has a massive effect on inflation and the price of brent crude has been below I think $95 all this month. As I type this it is $87.69.
The cost of fuel will have come down about in line with crude.
Airlines will be getting a massive benefit.
Also sea cruise Co's like Carnival and Royal carribean.
