Qiagen jointly marketing Parsortix and Myriad Genetics potentially buying a load of Parsortix machines so they can do liquid biopsies as well as the solid tissue ones they already do. This is where we are.

Serious progress with the installations. Maybe temporary wage cuts could make that 3 months. Although, of course as more hospitals become users income will increase, so maybe we would be looking at 4 months? They need to push the NHS to get more hospitals using asap. Maybe one of the International hospital trials will bear fruit in the form of installations in the hospital systems of that Country, like Saudi Arabia or italy? This would do the trick and rocket the sp I think. They need another break like the Scottish rollout. Fingers crossed.

A sense of URGENCY needs to be installed at Genedrive, of that I am sure. Now a few of the Scottish hospitals are using the MT-RNR1 24/7 there is NO REASON AT ALL for any delays with the other hospitals that want the machine in Scotland. The way the results are input into the NHS "system" must be up and running. Do people sit around inventing reasons to delay these installations or something? GET ON WITH IT!

Difficult is it to clear one worktop about 3 metres long, put two MT-RNR1 machines (the size of a A4 home priter) on it, unpack two small printers, put them there too, plug them in and connect it all up? Then "train" a few nurses to use a machine that a child could use, that is as easy as doing the old covid test we all have probably used? It ain't rocket science. I assume any delays will be due to the hospital managers etc... Two I think by now are up and running. About another 12 to go. Frustrating or what. All could be done in 3 days if you ask me.

Are ctc's in a blood sample still viable for dna analysis when stored in a CellSave tube?

The fixative in the tube preserves the cellular DNA, making it suitable for subsequent molecular analysis, including targeted and genome-wide sequencing.

How the CellSave System Works

The primary function of the CellSave preservative is to stabilize the blood sample for an extended period (up to 96 hours at room temperature) to allow for transportation to a central lab without cell degradation.

4 days shelf life for CTC DNA analysis of blood sample. So sending the blood sample to CellBxHealth in the UK for DNA analysis is viable and why Qiagen intend to offer this service subcontacting the analysis to CellBxHealth.

This should significanly boost turnover.

I wonder what Myriad Genetics will do? It seems to me they would be better off buying say 20 or so Parsortix machines for installation in their labs in the USA. They could send the samples over to CellBxHealth in the UK but Myriad they have very specialised assays and tests that they do so that would be an issue. It seems most logical to buy the machines to catch the live CTC's and go from there with their specialised analysis.
