Brent crude bounced up a bit to $85.40c but now back down to $84.53c5 Oct 2023 14:12

You could say is nealy half in political spin.

It will be interesting when we find out what the Pratt & Whitney compensation figure will be.

It needs to be a reasonable number or their clients will go elsewhere.

Interesting when I looked at the British Airways fleet I could not find ANY of their planes with Pratt & Whitney engines.

Maybe I was not looking hard enough?? Seemed extremely odd.

Fuel is around 20% of the cost of running an airline, so how on Earth is that irrelevant? LOL!

Note CCL don't hedge oil AT ALL. They confirmed this in the conference call last Friday.

Their opinion is over time it is not worth the additional cost.

I believe American Airlines view is the same.

However most airlines do hedge about 60% of fuel costs.

This "SPIKE" has helped to damage the sp's of AIRLINES and Sea Cruise Co's IMHO.

UK PLC Airlines and Sea Cruise Co's are a SCREAMING BUY IMHO!
