RE: Acquisitions and the resulting benefits24 Oct 2023 23:29
Clio, a well-reasoned, sensible response as far as I can gauge from the half of the conversation I can read.
The opening line, though! My son argued in his article many investors selling on the RNS did not read beyond the first three lines before reaching for the sell option. I wonder if the other side of the conversation was one that did not take the time to digest or seek clarification. The irony is that my role seems to have cleared up the misunderstanding within those three lines.
There are also specifics related to the SkinBiotix platform and the lysate that require some clarity. I do not mind admitting I was a little confused, and I know I was not alone. Sometimes, RNSs can create more questions than answers due to the strict legal language. Attempts to add context and seek clarifications for investors via third-party conduits, be it me/us, IMC or SP, can save a company many hours if coordinated, as I often try to do.
I get many messages complaining about a company's IR not responding to a question, not realising it may be price sensitive and often ignored, or they are swamped with investors seeking info on another company. It takes time to build a trusting relationship, but once it has been established, investors benefit from this, and so does the company. There is plenty of evidence of this in the past when the SP has fallen, and we have produced a Q&A based on queries I or investors have sought clarity. It has never been due to new info, but context, colour and clarity on any topic. It almost always helps. That is the value.
