My last day in Palma. Need the share price to rise as wife bought for England. ELA has risen 8% on small volumes this week. My money on Rns Monday.

Will hopefully bring an RNS confirming rig on site. Have a nice weekend all. I am off the Palma with her indoors for a week of good food, sun, Rioja and that awful Spanish brandy that always tastes good over there but is like poison when you bring it home

I spoke to Aberdeen and was passed on to the London office where I spoke to a guy who acknowledged my earlier e mails on the site and explained that any reply would have breached market information rules. He explained that all timelines quoted will be met. Expect an RNS soon me thinks

Well slightly. I have a complaint. I mentioned earlier my attempts to enquire about the update on drilling by using the website contact e mail facility. This is my third attempt and again no response. I will phone Aberdeen HQ with my dismay tomorrow. Do ELA have a PR dept ? Anyone else on our board attempted contact lately ? Come on Luck and Kevin, instead of arguing let's all try to get some info

Hi Chatham. I have e mailed the company this morning for an update and used the contact e mail page on the website. I have tried this method three times before without any reply. The commencement date was never exactly specified referring to commencing August. They did quote this quarter for the completion however so end Sept for result I suspect.

Hi Munch. Yes as we both agree the delay is disappointing but I am more bullish than you on the target price which I believe will be north of £1 within 6 months, subject to successful drills. I do admit however that my earlier prediction of a £1 per share for Summer 2017 was somewhat optimistic. As a footnote, do you understand the price today after that mostly positive RNS ? 49p- a bargain ( in my opinion)

All looks positive. A pity that the side track drilling schedule looks to have slipped a month but overall an encouraging RNS. Lets break through 55p this week

As I said yesterday Munch the rig was due on site by end July. I expect that the next RNS will confirm arrival and start. The timescale thereafter is the next question. What we do know however is that there is potentially another 6000 bpd. I bought a few yesterday to take advantage of the fall. This will soon be back at 55p to match the placing price. Patience is the key. And I endorse your thoughts that we should revert to a civilised and informative board. As you say we are all here to make some money. GLA

The RNS of 13 June stated that. After successful placing, some of the funds will be immediately used to side track Opuama 7 with the hope of achieving approx 6000 extra barrels a day. No time scale was given other than " target commencement of the rig move (to the site) in July. The next report maybe to confirm that the rig is there and work commenced. The next 6 months will be very busy and profitable for those who stay holding.

So it seems that Helios, our biggest investor, has bought £7.7m and Lombard Odier another £3.1m. Well they won't be selling soon ! Apart from the directors buys which in itself is always a bonus, who bought the rest ? This has so much potential and well done to those who have remained long term holders. GLA

RNS - plenty to digest but anticipated major increase in production in the second half of this year. Forcados now open and although financials for last year look poor, they reflect the closure of Forcados for most of the year. This is all about the future growth of ELA and I look forward to Broker comments in due course
