I do think the geologists and drilling team have done a fab job. However, I'm not sure how much evidence we have that, at depth, we haven't just gone to one side of the mineralisation. I'm not complaining just wondering... I'm thinking the value will be quite acceptable with what we have. Obviously it's a trade off between the quantity of drilling and the confidence that you have quantified every last piece of ore. I'm not complaining - only here 3 weeks and more than happy

Any idea if any other companies have similarly sized little zinc mines in Zambia. Don't go searching.

I'm not sure he's not expecting to have anything to report until towards the middle of next week. I got the impression it would take a couple of days drilling to hit the start of the mineralisation again.

The grades for Boda in red on slide 12 look okay.... :-)

I had assumed that every licence number would be in the cadastre and searched for 27654 which didn't exist. Agree later licences do exist - just me being silly! In fact 27656 is an artisanal licence that has been approved for granting.

Interestingly licence 27653 is the latest licence input to the cadastre - applied for on the 25th Sept. There are a few earlier numbers for the 24th but no later ones. I wonder is this somehow not being updated.

I have some sympathy with dog and bone - I have a tendancy to suffer from the same syndrome - it can have it's drawbacks particularly if ,like me you have tendancy to wake at 4am when your subconconcience has decided to deliver the workings of your brains background processes!

I'm going to see if I can find some contact details for GLR and ask about the licence. It could just be a simple administrative error. I did do a search to see if I could find a link beyween EPL and the Joackim Chewa Chelelwa but didn't find anything.

Now I'd like reassurance that that wee guy with his shovel isn't making off with our zinc :-). Also I'd like Colin to confirm where our licence application is.

I'll check through RNS tomorrow to see if I can see the transfer of the large scale licence. I know we haven't had an RNS saying we've applied for a small scale licence - hence my earlier comment addressed to Mr Bird.

You should have just coloured that rectangle pink..

Maybe a nice wee RNS will appear in the morning :-).

I managed to open the JORC. As far as I can see EPL is fully owned by BMR. The Star Zinc licence should have been transferred from them to EPZL as per page 33 of the JORC. The mining cadastre still appears to show the licence being owned by EPL. There may have been other ownership transfers that make this valid that I am not aware of.
My belief is than an artisan licence is unlikely to cover the work we wish to do - but I'm more than happy to be corrected. Thanks again for all yout input - unfortunately I haven't managed to get a clear enough picture to make a decent assumtion on the licence.

Any chance of an RNS to clarify the status of the Star Zinc licence. ( I promise I won't be mad if it's just in the application status - even if it only gets posted tomorrow :-) :-) !!). I just want to know..............

I agree the 64k buy some time ago is unlikely to be XTR profits - I suspect that is an individual who already had a significant holding consolidatimg their position. I could be totally wrong and if the individuals want to identify themselves then that is fine I don't want to attempt to name names.
As for throwing away profit - I'm not sure where that comment came from as I certainly don't think the folk from XTR would wish to throw away their profit.

I am just trying to understand the status of the licence - it has been jam tomorrow on this licence from around 2017 I think. Neither am I trying to give Colin grief - there are folk on another BB already giving him plenty. I suspect the poor guy is knackered after a very excting week and folk seem intent on hanging him for drilling what appears to be one of the best holes ever.

I think the secret to some of the large buys are profits from XTR looking for a home - anyone like to own up??

Thanks DC. I'm having issues with my internet and can't open the Jorc. The dimensions are within those for an artisanal licence but surprised as they also they state an individual or cooperative (ie not a company).

Once I get access to the Jorc I'll have a read and let you know when I've convinced myself.

Th licencse is for an artisanal mining licence - these are tiny and can only be applied for by Zambian citizens - either individuals or cooperatives. The individual listed is the Zambian applicant.

It was Nov when Colin was in Lusaka. I had read somewhere that a response to a small scale mining licence would be given within 30 days - obviously covid 19 could have a significant impact on timelines. It sounds lije I may have have been reading something out of date or plain incorrect - I'll have a look online. With mining expected to start within the next couple of months it would be good to know the status of the licence. The last we heard ( I think) was that they were trying to determine the best customer for the mine output prior to applying for the licence.

You're not the only one! I check it at least once most days.
I'd like to see confirmation that we have at least applied for the small scale licence - preferably before that little rectangle does my head in!
