to answer simply:
1. Yes, 2. Yes, 3. No (but have been following for 2 months having held off due to the uncertainty surrounding funding.
4. I don't see the RI as a chance to take a punt, i'm more looking to invest when a funding plan is announced (whether that includes the RI yet who knows). The reason why i asked about the RI specifically is because i'm just unsure of how share price reacts to the news, and then as a first time buyer investor whether its best to buy on announcement day, or wait for the actual shares to be issued? I.e. if i buy on announcement day, even if its cheaper, am i still at risk of share dilution? I'm just a bit unsure on how that bit works?
Appreciate the help - sorry if its a bit wordy
Is a RI looking likely still? Also, very rookie question but haven't been involved in this situation before. If an RI is announced, is it best to buy upon announcement (i.e. when the price likely falls), or when the actual date of the share issue comes around? Would really appreciate if someone could explain it a little bit to me please
Another day, still looking for my first buy in - are chances of an RI happening very low/ non existent now because of market cap? Just concerned about potential dilution mainly, rather than 100% searching for the bottom - any advice welcome
appreciate that advice Toro - this is my first real step into stock picking (not that i'm taking it lightly, have been looking into Rolls for a while now), rather than just regular fund investments so nice to get as much advice as possible
do you think that i should only buy in once the funding route has been confirmed? Seems to be strong market reaction to any positive news, regardless of how speculative it is (like late on Friday) - don't want to miss the boat. I guess its weighing up the benefit of there being a potential RI driving the price down vs the potential upside lost when the market jumps when an alternative source of funding is confirmed? tricky one
Looking to make my first buy of rolls sometime soon - finding it difficult waiting for the potential rights issue and considering the pros/ cons of waiting... can anyone offer their thoughts please? Interested to hear other opinions
Yeah this is my issue, when would a rights issue likely be confirmed/ not confirmed? Hard to call, 1.6 is still a great price long term either way, but want to try and get the best deal possible without leaving it too late
Hey guys - been looking at Rolls for a while but need some advice surrounding the potential rights issue... is it better to just wait it out before making my first entry to see when/ if the rights issue is announced - or would you say invest some now, some later? just looking for your thoughts here - thanks
