Crypto has been bouncing off lows. Whether there's any more to it remains to be seen. It's a volatile tech play in my book, until and unless that corrrelation is broken, and I have a decent amount of exposure to tech already via equity-based compensation from my NASDAQ-listed employer. I'm not sure how tech will fair for a while, so there's also a question-mark over crypto's recovery for me. Some of your past crypto comments haven't fared that well in retrospect, so maybe resist from throwing stones in a glass house.

You always seem to be trying to pick a fight Seingred, but I have little interest in one. I've always said I'm here for sale or production, whichever comes first. Production probably sees the highest return long-term (Lassonde Curve), but at the cost of time, dilution and risk. Nothing suprising there for anybody, so anyone who acts suprised since they haven't considered the alternative outcome deserves to be called out.

Bear in mind that the mill was supposedly a 'long-lead' item such that, if things had turned out differently, obtaining it in advance should have reduced the total time until production. That's not how things have turned out, but that doesn't make MC wrong for making the attempt. It was also part-paid for in shares at 50p - not such a bad deal in hindsight.

Erm, while there are valid criticisms, if you've not noticed that MC's background is in finance, and not mining, and that he has always wanted to sell, then that's on you. DYOR.

Thanks for the summary Gheko. I don't like to hang around like a bad smell on a stock I'm no longer in, but I still keep an eye on those where I may buy back at some point.

I had a bad feeling from the interview he gave immediately after the results, the interviewer asked what the reaction to the results was, and, I forget the exact words used, but he said the reaction was very positive (the SP was down 30% or whatever it was). The interviewer seemed to raise an eyebrow but didn't follow up - not exactly Jeremy Paxman! If RP had addressed it head-on and said, "look, the market didn't like it, and I understand why, but here's why I think the market is wrong", then I'd have had a lot more respect for him. As it was, I sold my remaining holding, after derisking at 14p.

The prospect is still potentially incredible - just one decent strike, and this could be a millionaire-maker, but it remains a long-shot, as it always was, and I don't trust the management as far as I can throw them, so I'll continue watching from the sidelines for now.

Good post Jim. Certainly better than the usual low-grade moaning. Kefi is certainly a high-risk play, and I certainly wouldn't begrudge anyone derisking a bit if they felt over-exposed, in fact I'd encourage it.

Opportunities abound, and so necessarily do the costs of not picking the optimal one. But without a crystal ball, it's very hard to tell which is the right one for the right moment in time. I've seen many a frustrated PI jump around, only to be disappointed by the new shiny thing. The grass is always greener.

I don't think the lack of a fixed date is a bad sign. Time will tell. They didn't mean much in the past, so the lack of one doesn't imply much for the future IMHO.

It's a frontier jurisdiction Fantasy, and I would imagine the most serious delays have been caused by the most serious problems - a state of emergency to deal with what could have become a nasty civil war, and the kidnapping of Kefi personel, no less. You think another CEO could have handled those situations better?

Now, I'm not HAA, or his PR agent, and I'm sure there are things he could have done better - the placing on the 21st December 2021 made for an unwelcome Christmas present for sure. I've also not been here quite as long as some, so I accept my frustration levels may not be as high as some LTHs.

However your simplistic analysis and dismissal of those issues as stemming from HAA's incompentance leaves a lot to be desired. It's a junior gold explorer, wannabe miner, in a rather risky part of the world. Wars and kidnappings would challenge the best CEOs in the business.

While I'm sure the usual suspects will unimaginatively portray this as another can kick, the reality is, it's happening, and soon. Just a bit more patience required.

There are rules and regulations for this sort of thing, but you'll need more than a few percent. Few investors have the wherewithal to even start down that path though, let alone bring it to a successful conclusion. The potential downsides are numerous.

If you don't intend to do it by the book and are instead planning on essentially threatening him with a large number of sells, which is what your post seems to suggest, then, well, I don't know what else to say other than, good luck! You're gonna need it.

I think that online execution-only brokers have made it *too* easy for anyone to jump into the stock market, without a plan, without much in the way of financial knowledge, and without the mental fortitude to really cope when things go badly. The stress can take it's toll. Feelings of being 'locked-in' are compounded by common but unhelpful message board refrains like 'you only lose when you sell'. A fatalistic attitude develops as a coping mechanism. Lacking the strength to truly take control of their destiny, they blame everyone and everything but themselves for the pickle they've got into.

888 calls many such folks derampers, but that's not quite how I see it. They are victims, not villains.

Why would you continue to hold then?

Since we are investers in the stock market, we must empirically believe that the market is not efficient. Therefore, there will be times when the market misprices a stock, sometimes to the upside and sometimes to the downside. Therein lies the opportunity.

A quick observation, which you may have taken account of, but I didn't see mentioned...

All options have some initial restrictions on when they can be exercised. None can be exercised until one year after the grant date, then only 50% can be exercised until the 2-year mark. 100% thereafter. So none of the 2022 options (granted 13/09/2022) are available and probably only 50% of the 2021 options will be available (granted 1/6/2021).

So are the 'extra' trades on Google Finance complete nonsense then? If so, then that's really wierd. I could understand one platform *missing* certain legitimate trades for some reason, but *extra* trades appearing out of thin air makes no sense. They must be getting that data from somewhere?

I have observed that there are routinely trades shown on Google that are not shown on LSE, however, I wouldn't like to say where the fault, if any, lies. Does anyone know of a legitimate reason why some trades may not appear on LSE?
