Hi potato head is that directed at me? Personally I wouldn’t be best pleased if Hainan offer at 0.6p but people need to be realistic. People thinking Hainan will offer many ps at the state of the market are deluded. Once stage 2 is up and running possibly but we are looking years away. China will want control and therefore offer as cheap as they can get away with. If Hainan offered 1p right now most would say deal.

Yeah fair point treestump, it’s frustrating as it’s literally an inverse lassonde curve ffs! But are we producing good quality spod at a low cost? Absolutely, and profitably. Many miners struggle to attain much of a profit at these levels. I see energy storage becoming more important in the upcoming years. Lithium is absolutely needed. The more we bolster the resource and the more lithium price goes up, the more Hainan will have to stump up if they want a buyout, and knowing the Chinese that is what they will want.

Don’t worry treestump, fundamentals are incredibly strong here. Once kod actually receives the funds then this should re rate. I reckon by mid 2026 we will have a revised MRE of 50mt and Hainan will swoop for a buyout of at least 0.6p, depending on where lithium price is at….am hoping more like 1p plus.

Quite a few do trade below their NAV. I think the NAV is just shy of 2p (check RNS) so still big discount to NAV. The big positive for me is MFAI is debt free and don’t pay their bod any salary so cash burn is low. Also across many AI plays so it a few get realised it should boost the SP quite a bit. Big one is Infinite Reality but who knows when they will get IPOd…

I do think the more the lithium price increases, the more it is likely for a buyout. Reason being Hainan will be thinking, they’ll want all of the profit themselves rather than giving a slice away to kod. At these price levels, although going in the right direction, we will still need financing for stage 2. Once 50mt is announced I would not be surprised for discussions on a potential buyout. That’s just my own thoughts, feel free to disagree, that’s what a chat board is about (if you do it in the right manner!).
