On December 17, JP Morgan increased its expectations for lithium demand from energy storage systems, according to Stockhead. The firm now sees these systems making up 32% of lithium carbonate equivalent demand by 2026, rising to 38% by 2030. It projected a medium-term supply deficit of 4% to 7%, prompting the bank to raise its spodumene forecast to US$2,000 per ton and lithium carbonate to US$18,000 per ton by late 2026.

Fair enough, I do also agree with you that they have enough on their plate with gold (and copper). I’m genuinely excited about what 2026 is going to hold here.

Look this board is generally pretty informative and if someone is asking for a bit of extra info from some experts here on stuff I don’t see the harm. That’s what a board should be about. GGP used to be one of the best until bampsgate…let’s keep it friendly.

Any ideas on silver miners to look at? I’m not selling GGP as I believe the SP is heading north. I’m thinking fresnillo, hoschild, Wheaton precious metals. Or I may simply add to my position here. But keen to get involved in silver too…thanks everyone for their thoughts. I’ll obv continue to do my own research too…ta

Well said, I for one did my own research but also loved reading the v informative from the likes of bamps, element, amongst many others so many thanks for the excellent informative posts. The more the spod goes up, the more profit we make, good for the SP, and values us higher. Hainan are well backed by Fosun so they are capable of making an offer at anytime. I don’t see this until MRE upgrade but it could happen, and when the JV was announced they paid double the SP at the time. Come on 2026 it’s about time the SP is lit on fire!! Yep makes sense Lav. There are plenty of gold miners that I’m sure would consider buying. Personally I’d prefer the route of Hainan buying Bougouni for a decent premium then we get to mine the gold ourselves as Bernie is a clever geologist and Steve is an exceptional logistics and operations executive.

True Lav, I’m patient here though. Been here a number of years and what kod have done so far is impressive. Investors eyes will start to look at kod if spod prices continues to rise and floor price is strong. Gold at record highs, really want these explored further as I do think this could uplift the SP
