Yep those numbers are staggering and that’s based on $2k spod. It could well be higher. And if you pro rata to 50mt, the numbers are crazy. It wasn’t me at the ggp, as only been investing for 5 years. Maybe someone with a similar name! All the best here, this could see a sustained rise with some good news.

Looking at latest pres, it states capex c $175-200m for stage 2. If we assume DMS 125kpta for 4 years and floatation 230ktpa for 12 years based on current resource and AISC of $647 pt, with spod at $2k, KMUK profit is just over $2Bn for lom with kod’s percentage equating £990m! That’s based on current 31.9mt resource. If this increases to 50mt the numbers are obviously higher. So I can see why iis may be keen to buy.

So Leo cost was $255 million so can imagine will be in that sort of ballpark as it’s obviously a far bigger more complicated plant.

I think Hainan will do a JV for stage 2 with kod. Stage 1 has proven the model works together. They may offer a buyout but I don’t see this happening until the resource upgrade which is due this year, but can foresee this being more like q1 2027. All my thoughts anyway so Dyor.

Hi guys, checked the latest pres and says Telfer is due the MRE update in March q 2026. I’m used to q1, q2 etc. what timeline is March q? Does that just mean q1 ie by end March we should have an update? Cheers

It says in their recent pres they are confident of a re rating so clearly they have a plan in place. I would love a bit of II buying as it would flush out the traders.

Good spot Craig news, I do agree institutional investors have to be provided with quarterly updates. Take Ggp for example, clear and concise quarterly updates and heavy II buying. On the flip side, whilst our figures are v strong on profits, iis may be a touch hesitant to invest in Mali. We will see, fingers crossed and hope £ talks.

I wouldn’t rely on sales vs buys on lse. Eg I’ve bought and it’s shown as a sale. It could be people loading in at 0.4, we just don’t know I’m afraid

Chairman’s statement latest results is below. so we don’t really know what they are doing with gold. I think it was Fatou showed previous MRE of 350k oz. Don’t know if they will sell these assets or drill themselves. Any thoughts?

The profit being made at these prices is staggering. If we assume 125ktpa just for the DMS (bear in mind $65m build on top cost wise) is $182m per year based on $647 pt AISC. Mali take 35 per cent and KMUK takes the rest. Massive profits!
