I think we can both agree with a fair degree of certainty that MB's primary focus in India isn't sightseeing!
Regardless of the outcome on 5th December, I would like Panthera to provide an update to shareholders, as two of the target timescales for Bhukia will have passed. I don't hold my breath for that though.
Hi Pollack,
- Court dates: via the court website (https://hcraj.nic.in/cishcraj-jdp/) - it's case registration no. CW/13521/2018. Let me know if you need a guide to access the case info. However, the lack of any interim judgments since March seems a little odd.
- The timeline of events was from the last corporate presentation (https://pantheraresources.com/investors/presentations/)
- MB's movements from following @PantheraPlc on Twitter
Hope this helps.
The facts, as we know them:
- Mark was last in Bhukia in August (judging by Panthera's Twitter feed), and is clearly there now.
- The next court date is three weeks today on 5th December
- Looking at the timescales on Slide 19 of the corporate presentation from May '22:
- no new joint ventures have been announced (timeline targeted end H1 for this)
- no Notice of Dispute has been issued to the Government of India
- no settlement has been agreed with Government of India
In terms of Mark being in India at the moment, I *hope* it is to either agree a JV which unlocks the courts or to try to negotiate a settlement, and that he has held off issuing the Notice of Dispute to facilitate progressing these. Without any additional information, it's conjecture at this stage.
As it's still in the middle of the night in the USA (4:35am in New York as I type at 9:35 in the UK), I very much doubt court will be sitting...
Expecting either an intraday RNS or tomorrow morning.
Oh, hello new board member with an unsubstantiated statement which tells us all what we want to hear.
I'd suggest you do your own research and take both rampy and de-rampy comments with the vat of salt they deserve
The main trick on LSE is to take any unsubstantiated statement or piece of advice with a vat of salt and do your own due diligence.
From what I know, all listed companies are required to release market sensitive information in a timely manner. However, there are reasons why they can be delayed (e.g. audit, waiting for official confirmation of a judgement, etc.) and it may be that there is a reason behind the scenes that it wasn't released today. That doesn't mean that one isn't coming though, and I expect one in the coming day(s).
Dilly,
The only difference the US will make to the share price today IMHO is private investor interest driving up the SP, as most institutional investors will have people working UK hours.
I think it may make a slight difference as private investors Stateside wake up today, but to be honest the share price is going to do its thing today regardless.
...but I'm certainly not complaining!
Lots of encouraging stuff on the horizon, but nothing feels tangibly close at the moment.
MB seems like an 'actions speaks louder than words' sort of person, and hopefully his silence at this stage is down to hard work to unlock value as we head into 2023.
John,
With the greatest of respect, I posted information regarding one of the company's prospects which may be of interest to other investors which use this forum. I appreciate that you are a very active member of this forum who has little interest in Bhukia, but you don't have to engage with every post.
@Pollack the next listing date is 1st August.
No interim orders / judgements since 2nd March, which seems a little strange - something has been published by the courts after previous hearing dates, but nothing since 2nd March.
IMHO movement one way or the other on this will happen this quarter - either the success we hope for, or an escalation of the dispute to the government of India.
