When all hell had broken loose in Zimbabwe, Caledonia kept and even keel! JP Morgan said Gold is money! LOL!
I had forgotten about Jan Nelson, he caused me a big loss in Extract and in Chile!

Things might be volatile here but we can only go one way - UP!

What we do know is that the markets ARE jittery and POG was 1235 earlier and silver is also on the rise. Great!

More news tonight on BBC 4 and it does look like markets around the world are toppling from dizzy heights. Yet, there must and will be a fight back rally.But.... to no avail! LOL! The Fed and other central bankers have created a monster of gigantic proportions to sort - QE and now QT! Is n't all about growth and inflation? Add debt, then where are we?
PAF will see 20p before June 2019. Any bets? LOL!

ODONNELL, Ashanti and Harmony rose 7,7% today. PAF is only sold on the AIM and JHB Exchanges. I wonder if we might just have a move in PAF tomorrow as the Q3 results from Caterpillar were poor in the USA (I am told!). The Bull is dead as regards the stockmarket and if the market is forward looking, miners may start featuring prominently as risers - POG earlier today was $1235. A Chinese Investment company said it was selling stocks in 30 companies as the peak had been reached. so all pointing to a bear market and trouble ahead (Italian budget just one example). I am doing my best to accumulate here!

Gold and silver seem to be nearly holding their own but USD just seems to be too strong! In need of a new crisis and some bad Q3 results from the bigger players in the US.

It really is about time we had news (good news from our various sites!) and all revealed plus a significant increase in market cap and sp! Being patient!

If we close above the latter, then the bottom is likely in place and a truly historic rally has begun. There is plenty of upside from there.”

ODONNELL, we have to have faith that the POG is not really going to fall significantly again. Look around you and count the number of black swans swooping above us! LOL! Just this Brexit could be a major disaster for both us and for the Europeans! Countless other examples and the herd will flee towards real money (JP Morgan said this!) and value - gold and silver!
We broke 9 pence today and after not collapsing at the end of the day, settled for a sp of 9.10. Let's hope this is just a start?

Would be nice if we could get a Geologist's opinion - if there could or will be Au at depth? What we do know is that the Chad Gold is part of a belt that stretches from the Atlantic to Arabia! Liberia, Eastwards and northwards to include Egypt.

ODONNELL, can I ask "Why NOT?". This is one of the lowest AISC gold producing miners, albeit small, in the world! Yes, there have been many problems which could have sunk them, now overcome (I think?). Yes, the jurisdiction is not great (coming from an ex South African!) but, while political focus is going to be to survive as a ruling party with so much bleeding from corruption exposure and a realisation that mining investment could provide jobs (high unemployment etc.) . My humble opinion is that if the POG goes northwards, the leverage here is going to be such that no short term investor can resist the returns! Not talking long-term - just the next 2 years +/-! Just like Doug Casey made a fortune from un-loved SA gold mines (Leslie etc..) in the dark 1980's when there was a near full blown civil war!
Look, you have to understand this is Africa - the risk /reward ratio is high! Good luck with your investments! I think PAF will soar to 20p and above over the ensuing 2 years hence I am accumulating!

Toro and Farquar. From my reading (history etc.) Wi****ersrand started at zero depth and now 100 years later (or more) they are 2km deep with still some of the richest deposits in the world. Just the complexity and expense to get to the gold. LOL! Similarly, Barberton and Blanket mines are also in "Shafts". I guess many other mines of this type of geologic formation. But then, I am not a geologist! Hmmmm!!!
What I am saying is that if there is gold ON the ground, somewhere there must be more at depth, surely! So hence my significant investment here! GLA

I hope! Just wondering if a share rebound will dampen the nice rise in POG? Or are we heading to $1400/Oz as was predicted for Au earlier this year? Or if the darker swans hit - the 10000/Oz, LOL!

The situation in Zim, has never vastly influenced us in a negative sense, so if all hell in their currency situation breaks out, we are safely in the bush SE of Bulawayo! LOL!
