Ant ...how many more times ffs...very few people i know disagree with means testing the WFP...however this choice/decision was done too quickly and very little thought as to different means testing ideas... also with no chance for the unfortunate deserving pensioners completely taken by suprise...and if you think at least 800,000 plus deserving pensioners will apply or be processed in a couple of months you are deluded...ps the state penion is not a handout ive made 39years full contributions plus paid a very very large amount of tax direct and indirect.....ps giving it to charity is your choice and commendable....i prefer to put mine in a fund to go towards my grandchildrens future education..for me charity begins at home...gl.

UK employment data tomorrow US CPI Wed &US PPI thur.......there will be a lot of interest in this data particularly in the US Inflation data ...also german cpi tom worth a look....gla.

Mick b ... an ill thought out knee jerk decision regards winter fuel payment ....you know that too......reading some of the past statements from some labour mp's ,ministers about the removal of winter fuel payment in the past..they were totally aghast at the prospect !.....however im not against means testing in a different form...not enough thought or time was put into this choice/decision....gl

Re ..Reeves ..i prefer to judge her performance after she has been the chancellor for a while (not a good start imo with the knee jerk state pension decision)....lets see how she does over a reasonable period of time ...thats when we will see how good she is ..not some academic qualification....gla

Yes thats £ 200 a fkg year WAC..Starmer seems to think the state pension is a hand out...you have to contribute 35 years of ni to get a full state pension.....train drivers just been given £10,000 ......this blokes a c..t of the highest order....cant wait to get out of the country for a long break ..roll on the 11th sept
