I knew a huge buy had to have gone in after the 13.7k and 11.7k buys between 0952 am and 10.12am as the following sells should have at least held the SP back at 0.465 rather than move it forward to 0.478 on the ask

Maybe the 855k purchase was this - but if so would have taken a good few days to accumulate sells to work it - but for sure a good few seemingly large buys corresponding with SP movement over the last few days

Respectfully to you both - yes I believe the current value of the diamonds to be at least £15 million ($139 per carat is irrelevant) because that is the only figure we can rely on due to it being recently stated when vast market cap was £15 million.

Whether either of you wish to form your own opinion contrary to AP’s word and potentially the creditors confidence (who could be insiders too) is up to you both, but should be disregarded.

Yes exactly - only AP is currently positioned to comment and be relied upon if holders so wish.

Personal feelings are irrelevant, we are all outsiders therefore utterly clueless to speculate about something we’ve never seen or had any connection too

Unless we are told otherwise the diamonds are worth at least £15 / $19 million because that was the vast market capitalisation when AP specifically stated they were worth at least the current market cap, which we also understand is the figure they are insured for

Any other figures either lower or higher are pie in the sky wish lists depending on addenda’s, nobody but AP and a select few have seen the diamonds, so it’s logical that nobody here has the first clue of how much they are really worth whether it’s €91 or $400 per carat - so best sticking to the only known facts

There is of course one other factor we’ve all overlooked and that’s Capstone Investment’s holding in vast

I was simply astonished that a company with a portfolio value of over $17 billion would have the compulsion to accumulate 5% vast shares on the open market between 0.048 and O.055, for me the buyer would have had to be extremely well researched and confident, or extremely irresponsible and drunk, either way they bought, and so far as we are aware the shares are locked away in Barclays ! So that itself suggests they are in for the long haul.

So unless a TR1 next week confirms otherwise, to my thinking Capstone could become a key approach if a placing was required, and if so any stock purchased locked away for a long time which would suit all.

Anyway just my thoughts, I think we’ve all had enough for today - it’s been fun ! Much more exciting than my other holdings !

What surprises me is how the market has become convinced a bail out placing is coming.

Anyone that’s been in negotiations (I’ve been in plenty) knows that one can only negotiate favourable terms (to you and them) if you have at least one other option available that cuts them out completely

IMO it would have been useful to know exactly what was causing the jam in zim, as some reasons - example bureaucracy and admin delays, or polishing valuing and listing delays, would have been much more palatable to the market than the bank or government intervention simply refusing to recognise the court order, so as a result the market is assuming the worse (and we know what assumption is the mother of)

But whichever way the diamonds clearly exist and as a result have to insured for theft, and the bank or government permanently refusing to honour a court order is theft.

We will see what happens going forward, to my mind I’m expecting at least one decent update BPP progress or Tajikistan payments before month end which will serve to boost the negotiating hand if needs be (plus the SP) and keep in mind vast ‘still expect dealings in zim to be concluded in time’

In the meantime I would recommend anyone with nervous disposition steers well clear of this stock, and if your shorting only gamble what you can afford to not care an iota about losing

I continuously read and respect your seemingly well informed posts on vast, but I’m very curious to understand what exactly is your purpose on this BB, apart perhaps been the Good Samaritan ?

You state you no longer hold vast shares and looking back on your posting history it seems the only stock you have commented on over at least the last 3 years since becoming a member in 2016 is Vast with 5705 posts to date

Does this mean you simply do not hold any other stocks ? Or perhaps you simply not comment on your other holdings ? Or do you have another another alias that you post under ?

With all things considered there’s a number of reasons positive and negative for not releasing any news prior to today. I’ve been in these situations a good few times myself and court orders, rulings and timings are only as good as the paper they’re written on.

The key is what Zim need in the future and want to be seen as going forward (which is believed to be very positive)

The only cement for me is the fact a $3 billion mkt cap company Capstone Investments felt compelled to recently buy up 5% of vast shares on the open market between .048 and 0.55 and so far as I’m aware are still fully holding, that’s very important for me.

Update next Monday ? I get the feeling so

Aye certainly not the most prolific rise I’ve seen - one would have thought a sale contract (never mind marketing contract) whether it was to the value of £1 or £1 million was substantially significant as it validates both the safety and marketability of the product - that up to this point was only a theoretical wish list

As ever the Uk market is blind and only interested in sharp day trade spikes !

Roll on the imminent US listing then we will find out what the real investors think

At just 0.055p back in Feb 2021 Prem we’re in exact same SNAFU situation as vast, with 10 times as many shares from placing after placing, broken promise after broken promise, and at their current 0.90p per share £200 mil cap (20 bags) plus prem still not turning a profit !

I’m pretty sure at least 90% know the risk v reward here

But in short - The recovery and sale of the diamonds is absolutely transformational for vast - means they can clear all debts and have a healthy cash balance to take all portfolio operations forward which are comparable to what prem have

No possible way vast could raise £15 to £30 million at current £20 mil market cap without at least 200 to 400% dilution at a massive discounted price to current Sp

So Release and sale of diamonds as good as free gift something prem never had, and if the deal did unexpectedly go south I expect just like Prem they will still find a way forward until the Chinese or major buys in, Copper Gold and Diamonds will always go up in value !
