This is a very profitable and asset rich company with a P/E in 2021 of around 3.

It strikes me that a) this is absurd and b) that there is an extraordinary amount of upside to this.

If you don't buy this share, you have to seriously ask why you would buy any share.

And remember, they say they are going to exceed a profit of £82m, not just achieve it.

Finally - the cheapest share on the market is beginning to stir...

Far above NAV 80pps.

And less than 3x 2021 profit.

Good to see some significant director buying today.

Again, buys far outweigh sells.
MMH has flown, Pendragon has stirred.
But Lookers always was by far the cheapest of the 3.

Along with Lookers, this is as close as you'll get to being able to buy £10 notes for £5.

Buys constantly and vastly outweigh Sells at the moment.

Market cap is going to be c. 60% of net assets. And net assets are freehold and a huge pile of cash.

I really don't think the over adulation in some of the comments below helps. To call a company 'inspirational' is just a bit odd., and it makes the whole thing seem suspicious.

The actual spread is nothing like the quoted spread.

I can't see how we are not buying £3 for £1 here. Sold coal is real cash.

The company is going to make more than its market cap in profit over the next 12 months.

I tend towards Lookers (but also hold Pendragon), mainly because it has the most insane 2021 P/E.

A market cap of £253m with profit of £90m is wild. Throw in the freehold and cash already in the back, and it just gets wilder.

Ultimately, I find myself asking what I'm doing here if I'm not buying as much Lookers as I can.

True. But it is incredibly asset backed. And incredibly profitable, all the more so as a used car dealer in the absence of new stock.

It would indeed be good if someone could explain today.

Why should a profitable, debt free, and cash rich business be worth less than the value of its freeholds?

I know I'm going to regret it if I don't buy as much as I can of this.

If I could raise £256m to buy this, I certainly would.

Why? Because I would be buying £330m of net assets, and the profit would pay for the purchase in just 3 years.
