Sound has invested £130m into Morocco over the years. They've provided the country's first major onshore domestic gas production & liquefaction project for local supply so undoubtably deserve recognition. The 'smaller' players in Morocco are the ones driving O&G forward & it should be commended. Sound, Pred, Char, SDX. Tell me what did Shell do with their neighbouring acreage?

There isn’t a remaining £250k principle, it was paid off when the Mana deal completed.

The lender could have called this in at any point either before consolidation or now so it's nothing unexpected.

Why call it now & give up the 15% interest? Bears could argue they all cashing in now due to fear of the company going under but now shares can be issued post consolidation to keep the company going the risk is small & that scenario unlikely before the maturity date.

Or are they signalling they believe it's the bottom, locking in shares now ready for a 15% beating share price rise.

It doesn't make sense to dump the 8m shares now unless the lender desperately needs the cash so I don't think that will happen.

There's been a 10 to 1 consolidation. 10x the share price, 10x less shares. You should be able to trade still. I have tested it.

Thanks for the update Adam, I thought awhile ago they would wait until phase 1 is up and running before drilling. Perfectly logical but I just wish they would have said that in the first place to prevent the tin foil speculation.

Only ~30% of shareholders voted. Assuming OGIF & Afriquia voted they have ~21%. Does this show how disengaged shareholders are?

It's 2.18m shares now not post consolidation. I'd be interested to know the story behind it. There were warnings that sanctions were coming but for whatever reason they decided to just leave them.

I understand but if the company can't get access to capital we could end up in a worse situation. I think back to the terrible death spiral convertible bonds deal last time which ended up diluting the shares 10%+ for a mere £2.25m. I don't like it but It's the lesser of 2 evils IMO & keeps the company going.

I believe it will get voted through regardless but I am voting to accept it because it gives the company the best footing to access capital & negotiate a bridging loan as Majid explained in his short interview yesterday.

To understand the rational just ask AI why someone would continue to post on a message board after losing money & holds no shares. For their sake you need to stop engaging with them & just filter.

I've just been reading about 'Public Offers and Admissions to Trading Regime' active as of 19th January. It is now easier to include retail shareholders in placings which is something I would like to see IF a future raise takes place.

There has always been drop between 15-35% when a placing is announced.

That's the point BW. They can't issue new shares now so they are doing a consolidation so they can.

Yes I've read it multiple times. The consolidation opens the gateway to a placing & it's why the share price has dropped today because the market is anticipating it come after.

In my opinion if you buy in now you're gambling there won't be a 20-40% share dilution coming.
