Each to their own of course but can't see the point of selling now. I only have around 3000 of these and stand to gain another £200 or so by waiting for the deal to go through, or more if another higher bid is made. Yes it may go down if the deal falls through, but for me, upside outweighs downside risk. Last time I was in this position was with a company taken over by Ophir - I sold at the equivalent time of now and then regretted it later when Ophir shares went up significantly post-deal completion. GVC shares may well do the same - it already looks like a company with good profits - take a look at the latest results. My problem is that my SBT shares are in my ISA so not sure what will happen there. Anyone know?

I seem to recall last time there was no news for quite a bit - and s/p sat at around the 40 level (creeping up a little). Then when news came it shot up. I imagine we just need to sit tight and await the legal developments (claim and counterclaim) as they did not pander to nervy PIs (me included) last time. They have already released an RNS saying no foundation in the claim, that they will be fighting it robustly and have issued a counterclaim. Of course we may get other contract news in the meantime, which should also help boost the s/p.

I agree with your observations re. the very low dilution proposed. This is undervalued and the spike shows the potential gains that will come here in due course. Also ISAable which is a bonus.

Patience needed. I said last time it dropped and then dropped some more. I too was panicking last time and nearly sold at a loss but held on. I'm hoping for same again this time - albeit it's dropped more this time that I expected it to. I bought at around 40 and am under now too - albeit I bought small (because while I assume court case will be in SHFTs favour - after all, they must expect trouble in their line of work and write it into the contract - one can never be 100% sure).

I think the delay means near-term traders have sold and/or are shorting. However the potential upside means this won't go as low as they hope. Patience needed now and chance of good gains because, as Sharma says, the facts support a deal. So yes you were right short term, but medium term this should still come good.

Deal may not happen, but with Tan's support, chances are it may well happen. What makes you say it won't? Obviously, losing half their money's not good, but losing 3/4 is worse (and they know that if deal falls it will go back to that).

Good link. Can't see why people would want to sell now. Upside now better than down or at least evens?

Agree - maybe it's being taken down to fill some bigger fish orders. Can't see any other reason for the sudden drop.

I see over on CZA you say SHFT has 2xbottomed. That's my reading too - i.e. if you look back at the low of the day some months ago when we had the last drop it got to 36 (closed higher) - the same as on this drop (i.e. low of 36 but closed higher). RSI of 20 looking very oversold. Yield mouth watering (assuming the current case goes in SHFT's favour of course).

Looks to be PI driven - a fair few sells but all small and on low volume. Nothing to get too worried about at this stage I'd say.

Same happened on the last big drop - I thought it had hit bottom then it dropped a little bit more. Soon came back up again though. Hopefully the same this time. I'm glad I held my nerve last time as it was a 2x bagger in the end.

So he has insider info does he ('when')? That would be illegal then. So IF it falls through it will drop - but the prospect of other bidders will keep the SP in the 40s in my view. So sub 40 unlikely. But IF it goes through then it will rise. I'm still hoping for the latter thank you.

H-L charge 5.95 if you've done over a certain number of trades the previous month. Mind you I don't have L2. I bought back in today (at around 40.5)). I bought last time it dropped to these levels (when the current contract problem first arose) and then sold having doubled (my timing's not usually that good sadly). I only wish I'd had more to put in this time - just waiting for some others to come good first (aren't we all).
