LG have until the 29th Aug to respond to the court that response will outline their position, delay, fight or settle. A settlement is what we would hope should happen with the recent history and clear the commercial uncertainty facing any possible buyout deal. If they delay or fight that would hinder any progress on a buyout particularly if Nanoco achieve an injunction. As with the Samsung settlement Nanoco can move forward once this is resolved.

This have been a huge entrepreneurial task, pulling together tech, politics, finance, location, etc to create a business that's never done before. So if a few deadlines get missed along the way it's understandable. Frustrating, but understandable.

UbiQD is a company specializing in advanced quantum dot materials, particularly for applications in agriculture, clean energy, and security. Shoei Chemical is a Japanese company that acquired Nanosys' quantum dot business. Nanosys, a US-based company, previously partnered with UbiQD on projects like the UbiGro greenhouse film. Shoei Chemical is now the owner of Nanosys' quantum dot technology and manufacturing capabilities.

LGs response will be by the 29th August which should give an idea to their stance, contest or settle 🤔

There was a formal sale process in 2019 before the Samsung litigation started in 2020 which is the time I'm referring to.

If Samsung couldn't put a financial case together to buy Nanoco LG certainly can't. It's going to be a large chemical company with leveraged distribution who will want this in its portfolio. Price will be based on market size and cost for the dots. They will already have a sell price figure in mind and won't be talking to end users because they won't be able to make the numbers work. The deal if it comes off will be along the lines of the Nanosys, Shoei deal.

I don't expect a bid for Nanoco while the LG litigation is being progressed. That doesn't mean due diligence is taking place during the litigation and a bid could happen soon after resolution.
