Nanoco aren't about to give Samsung exclusivity. I think the question of exclusivity was raised because of Hansol only suppling Samsung for Nanoco to have control of the IP.
Originally DOW chemical did receive and exclusivity agreement to manufacture and distribution to everyone. The DOW exclusivity was rescinded, they could manufacture but didn't have exclusivity. MERCK chemical were signed up as a manufacture about the same time as manufacture distributors.
Patent use and exclusivity is big subject and has plusses and minuses. In away Samsung did get exclusivity and world market share by their actions and we are about to find out what that's going to cost. The win for them is the technology lead and market share, everyone is playing catch up and that catching up will be good for Nanoco, because this is the technology that is proven and the best currently available.

There could an element in the settlement negotiation to hold back on commercially sensitive elements. Also the supply chain is not as transparent as is desirable for auditing. The amount of quantum dot material used per television is very small – circa 1 gram for a 55” screen (circa 0.83m2).

Nanonano, academic now but I did suggest any royalty payment might be based on the QD content of the display panel rather than the selling price of a TV. That £86m for film sheet goes into panels for Samsung, Sony TV's made up of materials, assembly and profit.

It's a bit of an odd one and tricky as hell, ideally you what the be dealing at source of the cfqd supply. As far as we know SD make the panels which are supplied to tv manufacturers which distribute to end users. The litigation in the USA doesn't include SD but Samsung Inc. and other subsidiaries.
It would appear Nanoco are setting up IP agreements with CFQD manufacturers who are the beginning of the chain which the ideal arrangement. Any company question on who supplies the dot will be able to show certificate of conformity from our approve supplier.
The Samsung supply chain and world product distribution looks to be a can of worms, not just agreement but implementation.

BBD, maybe my poor grammar or we at cross perspective.
My thought is a non exclusive settlement with Samsung is on the cards. But Hansol make the QD sheets and if Samsung don't have an exclusive supply agreement with Hansol it's a problem, one for Samsung because of competitors acquiring the tech and two for Nanoco having to enforce IP or loose revenue. I suspect Samsung have this covered.

I doubt Nanoco can offer exclusivity, based on they have signed other agreements. The Samsung settlement only works if Samsung have an exclusive agreement or control over Hansol.
White papers on microLEDs show a calculation on costings which show square centimetres cost, that would be an option which covers all panel sizes alternative is by CFQD weight, price per kilo.
We're not going to know all the details.

Intrusive, the semi official press release did report the cancellation of the IRQDs but I belive it was a commercial miss direct.
I subscribe to the glasses have size / power reconciliation issue which Apple didn't want to publicise. Neither here or their really. Water under the bridge.
Because the apple glasses project team was disbanded in May prior to the announcement it fueled the speculation why Eldelmam sold shares in May. Nanoco received cancellation RNS June, further speculation on the glasses being the cause started early July.
