Flow rates ultimately depend on the amount of OIP(We know there’s LOTS of oil) within the section being drilled…but yes you are correct horizontals start off with a BIG bang when compared with vertical wells then naturally start to fizzle out a little as the pressure decreases…

I’m glad you’ve mentioned this as there’s two things COPL can utilise which will come in handy…

First being to fracture stimulate the wells…information found as up to date as last month shows this process can increase initial flow rates by 100%.

Second being the use of second recovery methods injecting gas(butane mix or CO2) into the formation to keep pressures high maintaining high flow rates on the wells whilst depleting the reservoirs.

But I’m sure you already knew the above😊

When referring to the powder river basin which is where COPL is based…

Some are forgetting they’ll be ample time to exit the stock if they choose to do so, before any consolidation happens if it’s voted through as COPL is required to notify the market prior(In advance to be clear) to it happening and still needs to the CSE to give authorisation for it to go ahead.

I think you’ll be waiting a long time even if the motion is passed at the AGM lol…the last consolidation(100:1) in 2021 was voted through in May and didn’t take effect until October…

A lot can happen in between that time…JV perhaps, GGS installation completed perhaps, more wells re-completed etc.

There’s more than enough data for any major to be sniffing around these assets regardless of whose possession they’re in…no oil company would walk away from a deal like this with ample knowledge of the amount of OIP.

In the end it all comes down to how many $m’s to sign a deal…

My most recent finding increases my bullishness on a deal getting signed when all is agreed.

In January the JVP was very keen on seeing the data for the first successful re-completion for Frontier 1 production, which they were happy with but probably wanted to see more done so they could justify the price Art was willing to accept…

Although further evaluations have been done;

“Substantial additional technical evaluation has been undertaken during this period, which has led to a better understanding, and increased confidence, of this resource.”

We could assume the JVP still wants to see another re-completion or two before giving COPL $m’s, that then leads me to highlight why Art chose to include CC 12-23 as part of the re-completion program. The well is deeper than the ‘oil down to’ level logged in January and had oil flowing at the surface during drilling so probably one that could provide the JVP with sufficient data…

If they were going to walk they would’ve done it by now imo and I still maintain only one company would be interested in CC works and that’s the company who had it before… Exxon Mobil.

‘IMPACT EXPLORATION & PRODUCTION LLC’ not too far NE of COPL seems to be doing just fine exploiting the frontier formation with horizontals… 3 so far this year drilled and 4th planned next month all flowing between 300 - 650 bopd.
