2.7 million barrels produced in a year and HUR average daily oil production is how much? But the sp is 3.1p?

Got burned, averaged down and will short term trade HUR over the next few weeks as I suspect the sp will bounce around.

I sold my remaining shares yesterday as I just do not like the feel of events in Spain. I would happily buy back in at 60p should the permits be granted and production look imminent. I left a few shares in BKY in my wife's pension as a punt but am not optimistic. My instinctive feel is that someone has been ramping the shares on the Madrid exchange and that the bubble will slowly deflate without news. Good luck to all who hold for positive news on the permits.

36% still owned by institutional investors and the FT quoted a Tangible Book Value of 24p a share. Clearly, in light of the update the book value will drop but not to zero. It is going to be an unpleasant day for holders but someone is going to wait until they can buy the shell of HUR on the cheap.

Might be interesting to see what trades come in towards market close. Will information leak or will prices be driven by rumours rather than facts? Probably the latter and a toss of the coin as to how I will feel this time tomorrow but holding and hoping.

"Intentions" all well and good but first they have to legally prize the money from the grasping Indian Gov. That said the oil production figures and asset sales pushing the sp along nicely enough.

While I cannot guarantee good news on Friday I remain a holder of HUR because I believe the production figures will be respectable (not 20,000 bopd but OK), the finances are OK yet the sp is priced for Armageddon.
By way of contrast we have seen other oil production companies like TLW and PMO struggling with massive debts yet the market is content to let them bump along at relatively higher values when compared to HUR. Cautiously optimistic that over the next 6 months the market will re rate HUR.

Fair enough, as you say this is going to be a big week for HUR. I am holding despite being 20% down because I accept the risk of punting on small oil explorers and accept that by the weekend that might prove an expensive choice. If my optimism is well placed then over the next few months this should prove a multiple return.

Alwaysone, I entirely see the business case for the mine and for people like us investing in BKY. But, having worked for easyjet in Madrid from 2008-10 I also understand how corrupt their government can be. Add to that the lunatic eco lefties who now influence policies and we face a toxic political environment as regards the permits. I watch the sp rises with interest on the Madrid Exchange and hope they know something we do not.....we need an RNS confirming the good progress towards starting production!

More like "Papa Caliente" or pass the parcel as they say in Spain. Glad I took some profit at the 50p mark as BKY remains an interesting but risky punt and I have no idea which way this will go but I know who might......

Watch the Madrid Exchange and see what the locals do with BKY. If they continue to buy then one might assume they are aware of a chance for BKY to get the permits but if they start to sell I will cut my losses and bail.

Still here but should have stop lossed a year ago.....that said the orders, the cash and financials are such that I am content to hold. I can see two of several options playing out. The most likely that they take the company into private ownership for pennies. The second option is that the Board pays a big dividend out as cash flows in from the sale of the jack up section of the business and new orders for Posgrip Tech.

John in the big order of things even a once in a lifetime catastrophe like Chernobyl killed less than air pollution from cars and industrial smogs etc. Deaths from Fukushima probably run into dozens as the shock of being made homeless etc will have had an impact. I remain of the view nuclear power is necessary for a zero carbon economy.
