Unfortunately as countries default on their national debt they have a nasty habit of instituting regime change and nationalising assets....like oil and gas production.

The market not seeing the silver lining today. I am tempted but not until the trend is up rather than down.

THE European Parliament has approved plans to allow gas and nuclear energy investments to be labelled “green” as Brussels battles to meet net zero targets.

A total of 328 MEPs voted in favour of the move yesterday, falling short of the 353 votes needed to block the new rules which will mean gas and nuclear power is included in Europe’s so-called “green taxonomy” from next year.

Nuclear and natural gas projects could now get subsidies and cheaper loans as a result of the European Commission’s proposal, which will become law unless 20 of the EU’s 27 member states oppose it.

I am exasperated to find my HBR holding in the red with news like this and oil set to rise from here. Added a few more last week but p1ssed off that I felt it necessary!

Which is why a dodgy AIM oil exploration company is the biggest punt in my SIP!
Who dares wins.....holding HUR and not inclined to sell until I see a retirement changing amount of profit!
My personal view is that we will see $150 a barrel this Autumn.

If CRS plans to liquidate their fund by September 2022 then it seems highly likely HUR will be sold on by then.

You all really need to follow both boards! CRS planning more dividend payouts this year and HUR a key component of their NAV. CRS is not going to see their 28.9% of HUR sold off cheap imo. Markets in the red today but CRS up 6%.

Good news, already heavily invested here but was able to afford a £2k worth on the drop as a top up so my average not too bad with hopes of better by year end.
