The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Tig, I seem to be on your list twice... please note i'll only be coming as long as the other me isn't (;-))
Am aiming to make it tomorrow Tig, unfortunately unable to stay on and drink loads of alcohol this time, but looking forward to meeting those who are turning up and sharing a couple of pints !
Morning DGR,
Happy to be corrected, but as far as I know, that figure for Hargreaves Lansdown (and other brokers) includes the shares that they hold on behalf of their customers (hence the need for the customer having to request a 'Letter of Representation' showing your individual holding in order to attend and vote at the AGM and to vote !
All the best East-ender
I really don't post much nowadays, but too much tosh around by those introducing false info and doubt.... There are enough FACTS and associated information surrounding whats been going on over the past year or so.Accordingly, there is enough of that available information provided by those more able to make informed decisions available for you or I to make our own opinions.Think i'm right in saying that CURRENTLY, GGP still own 60% and Newcrest 40% if nitpicking.Perhaps Zoros, you should go back and recalculate your deliberately negatively based guesswork figures using non-current figures with some current fact and likelihood based information.Just saying IMVHO.
Apologies, I have been very lazy and not looked at the GGPHelp.co.uk site up until now as pretty much keep up to date on here.
Now i've had a butchers, I'm impressed... well set out, easy to use and contains a shedload of relevant info !
Good work BR and others who have contributed (sad to say my knowledge unable to contribute anything worthwhile unfortunately).
Recommend all newbies have a look before posing rookie questions as it will give a far broader understanding of facts and related info !
Looking forward to meeting some of you guys at the Stag if it goes ahead !
TomE, the link you show below is fine... just remove the ')' after the .jpeg !
How is it you and others keep introducing the purely speculative idea the GGP WILL be a miner.... FFS do a bit of research and listen to the boards presentations before making yourselves look so uneducated.
Nothing personal against any of you, but please cut the carp!
My guess is they will sell enough to satisfy the institutions wanting to buy and keep the majority in their back pockets riding a free ticket.
Price may fluctuate due to the MMs sodding about, but am guessing that all those being sold will go easily !
Just my reading of the situation based on GH and CB 's leadership to date.
Just my musings, please provide yours is different.
No plans to sell myself ! and GLA.
Thank for the support guys, as these are not going to go south generally, ideally I want a dip and to have that point cemented, but cant figure out how that could work other than in front of the court at that particular point in time... have spent last few years getting money into shares ISA with far too much of a percentage in here... only plus seems to bu i'll get half of the increase 8(
Hawksear, Thats exactly my situation at the moment... not been able to put increases on hold and thats really getting to me.... ironic really that she hates shares ... doh !
Hi Tigger, you can add me to the list as a dependent on weather (if outside not under cover and going to p down).
Thanks for these links... ties in with my question around what depth (practically) could our sites be mined to.
Automation I guess is the way to go deeper than current limits if required !.
Thanks Schlemiel for this and answer before !
Paddy/Magic et al... might be seen as a stupid question by some, but what is the maximun 'practical' depth that these targets can reasonably can be mined ?
Have just got round to finish watching your 2nd presentation Magic, you certainly do hold much knowledge and have an affinity to presentation of it.
Both presentations are very informative and give good insight and perspective to the GGP consideration here.
I look forward to a further presentation (perhaps) around the other prospective areas we own at sometime in the future when more drill results are available in a year or two.
Many thanks for taking the time to put these together and i'd recommend anyone interested in why this share stands out to watch both presentations before asking crass questions !.
Strudel, i'm no expert in tape, but it's something I found out back in my A level days back 45 odd years ago... Scotch tape should have those same properties as sellotape, eg polarising .
I believe this is to do with the extrusion process of making the plastic part of the tape stretching the polymers lengthways !
Dont have much info as to how you would use sellotapes properties in everyday use, but always good for demonstrating to kids etc.
Try looking through tape/sunglasses through a car windscreen and turn it 90 degrees and you'll see the polarisation!
In Australia, sellotape is called Durex !
Apologies for the off topic trivia, but just having a bit of fun !
Strudel, bit of useless information... sellotape polarizes light (similarly to sunglasses and most car windscreens)
Shhhhhhhhhh, don't shout it to everyone Tigger, they'll all want some !
Sounds like Labs and Scientists are being encouraged to resume normal practice at place of work !
Brilliant magictrades... admittedly a lot of it way above my understand, but did find a lot very informative and perspective giving.
Wasn't expecting such a detailed and knowledgeable presentation from such a newbie as so much dross has been spouted recently by 'newbies', so thank you for restoring my faith in knowledge... puts you right in there with Paddygall !!!
Hope your work doesn't go unnoticed in the sector and that you get justly rewarded in future !
