Germany isn't requesting Ukraine gives up territory - it's demanding that Russia leaves Ukraine, including Crimea.

Seems there's no mechanism for NATO members to be expelled, but perhaps a suspension might be possible.

USA debt vs Russia .. based on those numbers ...
- USA debt increasing by ~2.56% per year
- Russian debt increasing by ~5.15% per year
So Russian debt is increasing at almost exactly double the USA debt.

I assume they were part of the sanctions that were put in place after Russia invaded Crimea and its continued destabilisation in the East of the country and more generally, and have now been extended because Russia has now invaded the whole of Ukraine!
