Things are going to get heated with the sp over the coming weeks imho, the CGP matter is a side show, CGP I think have made a huge mistake by not taking the deal , they will have to cough up for their share of costs at some point and their share of the pot is being diminished every day as solg finds more outside of what cgp have any financial interest in. This call to get rid of the solg board makes no sense. Just look at what solg have delivered so far in Ecuador to both Ecuador and shareholders, how on earth can cgp say they are not delivering value.
Furthermore I posit the view that CRCC-Tongguan or another chinese govt vehicle will play a part in this.
The Chinese are getting close with Ecuadorian govt. , they have proved what they can do and already paid $100m in royalties to the govt and invested $1.5bln. The chinese state has a vested interested in securing a stable supply of copper and gold and I would be hugely surprised if they do not make a move for all of this at some point , it is really a question of who will make the move first.
NM has always said that he wants to taking this through and he may well in some part but not all of it, this is all too big and too strategically important imo
