Between January and July, YLB marketed 770 tons of lithium carbonate

The National Strategic Public Company of Bolivian Lithium Deposits (YLB) marketed, between January and July of this year, just over 770 metric tons of lithium carbonate, which represents an economic income of Bs 46.9 million, reported Omar Miranda, head of the Sales and Marketing Department of the state-owned company.

"770 tons of lithium carbonate have been marketed, from the beginning of management until July, compared to 2023, in all that management 150 tons were marketed, then, there is a percentage increase of approximately 413%, Translating it into income, in 2023 there was Bs 19.8 million and so far in the current management, we have Bs 46.9 million," he explained.

According to data from the Marketing area, in the first half of this year, YLB marketed 270 tons of lithium carbonate to markets in Latvia, France and China, the latter requiring 100 tons more, starting in the second half of the year.

The most recent sale was made with the Chinese market for 400 metric tons. The state-owned company also recorded lower sales as samples at the request of companies from India, the Netherlands, Chile and China.

Miranda indicated that, to date, the state-owned company has advanced negotiations for the sale of another 20 tons of Bolivian lithium carbonate.

"In this month of August we already have advanced negotiations for an additional 20 tons of lithium carbonate, as well as we have arrangements for the shipment of samples to different customers, that is, the commercial management is carried out at all times and responds clearly to the dynamics of the market," he said.

YLB socializes industrialization projects to Uyunenses residents in La Paz

The National Strategic Public Company of Bolivian Lithium Deposits -YLB socialized the work and projects it develops for the industrialization of evaporites in Bolivia to the Uyunenses Residents Center La Paz Branch (CRUFLP).

This activity took place within the framework of the discussion "Seeking Development and Progress from the Uyuni Region to Bolivia", held this Saturday, August 10, at the initiative of the CRUFLP.

Karla Calderón, Executive President of YLB, stressed that Bolivia has the largest lithium reservoir in the world with 23 million tons of lithium, 21 million corresponding to the Uyuni salt flat, so it is essential to keep the local population informed about the reality, the good and the bad, the work that is done, operations, exploitation, care for the environment, water management and above all future projects.

Calderón also emphasized the importance of synergizing with the communities and the company to promote the industrialization of the entire evaporite chain and transform the region into a pole of development. "The final objective is to generate resources for the country, for the department and generate jobs, although the technology is foreign, we already have Bolivian professionals trained to continue developing the work," he said.

The Research and Projects Manager and the Head of YLB's Environment Department also participated in this discussion. Since the last management, the company has been carrying out socializations to communities surrounding the projects, social organizations, universities, and the population in general, with the aim of continuing to add support to consolidate the industrialization of our evaporitic resources and bring development to all of Bolivia.

YLB President Socializes Advances in the Industrialization of Evaporitic Resources with Uyuni Residents

The executive president of the National Strategic Public Company of Bolivian Lithium Deposits (YLB), Karla Calderón, received this Wednesday, in her office, the representatives of the Uyunenses Residents Center, La Paz Branch (C.R.U.F.L.P.), to present the projects and progress of the process of industrialization of lithium and evaporitic resources.

During the meeting, Calderón explained the Strategic Plan carried out by the state-owned company to increase production in industrial plants of potassium chloride and lithium carbonate.

In addition to information on operations, the exploitation of evaporitic resources, actions on environmental care and sustainable use of water and projects to expand the variety of products and by-products.

The delegation of residents was led by Mario García, who expressed his gratitude for the information received.

The synthetic brines will be proof and evidence that everything is working ok,( although it still may need a few tweeks for the bolivian brines) DH is hopeful that these results will satisfy the Bolivians enough to start contract negotiation, which is due on the 15-16 Aug.

Yes TJR correct, and before then we should see the test results from the synthetic brines, which will be a massive game changer.

The Synthetic brine testing is imminent, at the AGM DH was hopefull that this would satisfy the Bolivians enough to move to the next stage, I then posed the question that if that was the case, would it not be better to then move the plant to Bolivia to run the final tests rather than bring the brines to India, which would then obviously fast track the whole process, he said that may be a possibility.

As far as i'm aware they have been invited to see the technology working, also hopefully to except this as to moving to the next stage.

We have access to the worlds largest Lithium Supplies, we have a patented IDLE extraction system that can produce 99.7% pure Lithium, that is far safer, can double the length of Batteries and almost double the range of Electric Vehicles. The EU has 400 billion Euros, (thats not millions its Billions) finance available, which we will have access to. Our system if proven will be life changing, a market cap of 70m will be a joke, it will be far more than that, as I say we are on the cusp of something Massive

News is imminent on two fronts, the new updated Lithium law and Synthetic Brine results, both due anyday.
