RE: Back26 Nov 2025 16:17
Thanks for your message yesterday Cevodniya - just seen this amongst the green boxes.
You said, "Dustfilter, but it's so easy with hindsight." Can I ask what was hindsight about yesterday when I posted that I could see the SP was probably ready to break out of the downtrend which had lasted for 43 days. I came out and said it yesterday. I could have called a break-out on any other of those 43 days but I didn't - I chose yesterday because the chart told me that something had to break. I tried to be clear about this and went to lengths to explain. This was not a guess. I had a 1-in-43 chance of being right if I was a guesser. 24 hours later, as I type, the stock is up 12%. So far, so good wouldn't you say? Not bad for a hindsight-merchant, not bad for a 'lunatic'. Darbinator actually told me to stop (arrogant disregard at best - nuff said)
I sold a whole bunch of EEE in the 70's. You don't have to believe me - I don't care. Why did I do it? I'll give you a clue - it wasn't a lucky guess. In recent days I've been buying back at a 60% discount to that price. I'm happy with that, you're happy to hold through the peaks and troughs - each to their own, etc.
I won't bother my @r$e again to share my insights here as I can't abide the hate from people who feel threatened by new knowledge. It's normal for people to feel comfortable with mediocrity and people choose their peer groups accordingly. Schopenhauer wrote a lot about this. There's a lot of Dunning-Kruger effect of these messageboards also! Best of luck
PS I shared a bit of chart info on the MTL messageboard earlier today. Looks like I might be lucky twice in 2 days :-)
