Coldspy - by the way I am absolutely not providing investment advice - I am not legally qualified to do that - but I am assuming in your reply - you feel able to do so?
Bizarre mate - do you see yourself as providing advice on here then? It is merely a "pub" for like minded individuals to chat about both sides of the investment - nothing more nothing less - last time I looked - freedom of speech was written into the law of this country - or am I wrong with that impression?
Once again all IMHO and everyone DTOR - (Do Their Own Research?).
i've been very busy coldspy and i did "pop in" over on adv to congratulate the team - once then.
don't worry about my investments matey - i don't want to sound (more of!) a **** to some on here - but i can happily absorb such losses - as i used to (quite often) state on here when i cautioned about having a diversified portfolio (and this was a respectively relatively small allocation of mine) as was concerned a lot had "gambled" money on here - pulled in by the company confidence and cos of their respective assets.
i didn't bother posting yesterday because it would simply have got lost in all the dross.
anyways - only intended posting once on here today and whilst i enjoy the "intellectual" cut and thrust (ahem) i'm off now.
absolutely genuinely best of luck all and here's hoping the "bond issue" can get sorted out as soon as practical.
as ever all imho and dyor.
H18, because generally with time the better blocks go first.
Obviously there may be some hidden gems and with infra-structure in place smaller "stuff" is probably blessed with slightly better economics historically with (ridiculous) gas prices.
However most will be marginal - and likely - especially in these ridiculously high taxing times more risky to invest in than a lot of other world side assets and of course mots importantly UK O&G will likely have Sir Kneeler to contend with - who sways in the wind like a midge and has about the same intelligence? IMHO.
And that last post by Coldspy is a very good example of the emotional "crap" posted on here.
I seem to remember you posting reasonably "before" i.e. post and 10p+ share prices matey?
Perhaps false memory ?
What happened?
Coldspy no mate - between 7 and 8 but still took substantial losses! Not a holder, no intention of being one but also not a "shorter". I think you were around when I was a holder and I never had much good to say about the "management" who have significantly improved but from a very very low bar of course! The reason for this low bar is that a lot of crap wasn't screened out when it should - and that was what I got wrong - the Geologists were in charge - and "most" times that isn't good business practice. Hopefully this will get better and hence better capital allocation rather than "nice to see" exploration.
Hamster - seriously why will 33rd round be a better "class" of crap?
I think IOG will survive but not in the rosy way a lot on here forecast.
I am "halfway" between the bond holders calling time and the high double digit share prices.
I saw a billion thrown out earlier - that is mad land, lol.
Just trying to throw in some sense among the plethora of crap on here now.
Seriously best of luck all. There is money to be made but run "profit locks" if I were you.
All IMHO, DYOR.
Why hamster18? Haven't they already got enough crap to work through?
You wonder why all the "doom merchants" are here - have you seen the news-flow since the company started?
I've taken my (significant) losses here, rationalised my portfolio and can sleep soundly at night now - to be clear have absolutely no intention of purchasing here!
I stated unequivocally - even with the well achieving the profiles first forecast - with current and expected (never try to make a bet on this!!) gas prices the "journey" was going to be a real struggle anyway regardless of this latest potential mechanical issue.
This certainly could come good - eventually - but what are the real chances of getting the returns some people throw around here? All IMHO, DYOR. Not a holder and no intention of becoming one. Best of luck to all holders of course!
Better geologists can't improve marginal assets. Right from the very start of this illustrious amazing project I did "believe" in the assets as I thought the "management" team were completely aware of the risks involved and the differing requirements of bringing such assets on-stream and had already filtered accordingly.
It seems they were not - even after I sent a few "free" e mails providing guidances to them as well?
Oh well you can bring a horse to water.
This can still work - but let's face it - they haven't got a good track record to date and here's hoping the Phase 2 assets are stronger than the first?
Now then - if only Fiona was here - she could give further ltips out to incentivise this top quartile management team to stay here - that's my main concern now!!
All IMHO and DYOR.
Great post UnderWaterEddy - glad you're not worried about the gas prices at all.
It seems IOG "management" are - I'd be a teeensy weensy bit concerned if they were as they probably know a little more than you about future capital requirements and other immaterial "stuff" like that?
Are you kidding jrlomax - they have no credibility now and are attempting to re-build this - getting this well on-stream and in line with the production profiles forecast (whatever this may mean with IOG?!) would be a start on a very long journey.
I do think this will come in - whether at the high production levels mooted - I am not so sure - and don't expect there to be a great market reaction after initial spike and consequent bounce down - as the reality of the real mess here will sink in - and the re-building of BS starts. As ever absolutely all IMHO and DYOR. Best of luck to all!!
Actually historically late news means bad news where this company is concerned. Here's hoping this is the exception to the rule. Best of luck all. All IMHO.
Poor old 2prats getting "confused" again.
Maybe when they "come back" they can have the manners to answer my questions posed to them earlier regarding phase 2 carries and bizarre prices quired in earlier messages?
Agree iog not in bond trouble yet but and as unlikely as it may seem, the natural gas price does drop to 65p th then that will rwar its head again?
Gas Price dropped over 20 % last month, surely it cannae do that again? Poor old Newall must be sweating in his silk sheets at night? IMHO, dyor
65p breaks covenants I think? Not too far away scarily - well for iog - not consumers of course.
2prats - so you telling me everything that was planned for Phase 2 carry costs is definitely going ahead?!
What is the £85 or £50 gas price reference to as well? Do you mind explaining that as well?
Was there any clarification on Phase 2 carry as well?
It's not poor communications - it's poor "planning and strategy" - although certainly not sure those words should be anywhere near PB or TXP of course! imHo.
Well it also costs money to drill a side track, so why raise cash at such low price when not possible to test until end of May.
Oh I know, the bumbling twat thought it a good idea because he named the original well after his daddy.
The "strategic" (that word sticks in my mouth) cluster f's continue at pace, lol.
Just re-read my post - the other company I got slated on and was quite a large holder - held for assets not management - was EOG as as repeated IOG in post below!
They were all slow crashes - but woe betide anyone from criticising the "amazing management" and err "strategy"!
Also be very clear here - I am not saying TXP is anything as bad as the crap I mentioned - the only issue I have with TXP is the fact that it could have been managed and communicated far more efficiently and cost effectively and, will eventually "get there" - that is all - and as ever absolutely - all imHO.
I have every confidence it will come good here - but saying that - I did say the same about IOG (holding way too long, LOL!) but had the good sense to sell out of AEX / EOG long before the s*** finally hit the fan at those companies!
Scott, FFS what on Earth does it have to do with you?
Sturm has been extremely rude to me on here in the past questioning my "manhood" for continuing to hold a stock I was unhappy with the management of?! What on Earth did that mean? I completely let that go.
They then has stated I am stupid on here twice but with the greatest of respect has asked and made stupid comments on Discord that I never bothered replying to that effect and pointed that out.
Then they commented on something (supposedly stupid) but admittedly "controversial" I made about foreign exchange - claiming to be a "market" economist but refused to answer or discuss why it was stupid in any way whatsoever - just didn't like what I said?!
So it's ok to take the p*** out of my manhood and call me stupid but when I respond and call someone a prat for doing so - because simply they are wrong - that's not ok?!
I and one or two others on Discord often commented on the continual positive crap about various historic issues at TXP - only to be continually shot down because of repetitiveness - however it is okay for there to be many many repetitive posts about the same thing from multiple posters which were wrong - but shouldn't be pointed out as such - because it was repetitive and boring?
I have you on filter on Discord since we last fell out there (it's been genuinely cathartic not seeing your posts by the way - you should try it) and I thought I had you on filter on here, got to admit. I have 30 years experience in o&g industry and have posted a lot of useful information earlier on Discord but now I simply don't bother and don't bother on here because quite frankly it gets boring when people get confused between cold heart facts and have an opinion that is different from those - simply driven from the fact they don't know what they are talking about and it get's boring trying to justify certain things - I know of a lot of other SME's who over the years have stopped posting on equivalent boards simply because it's not worth the effort.
It is really really simple if you don't like what I say PUT ME ON FILTER (I had this issue on IOG / AEX / IOG and think I was found to be very right there - lost a lot of money being right in the process at IOG but!!!...) - and actually stick to it - because last time you responded to me on here - you said you were putting me on filter - but was that the "filter but not really button - because whilst I personally don't like the guy - he does talk sense sometimes" button"?!
I will now put you on filter and not respond to you because I did actually used to respect you but have yet to hear any value posts you posted on Discord or on here and simply life's too short mate.
Please DON'T bother to respond.
I like AXL very much and see it as excellent value imHo.
Thanks to MT for that one.
