Toxic, if Casca 4 doesn't come in as "expected" and in a negative way that would be very bad news for TXP share price IMHO. Considering all the "good" (best well ever, everythings in the rear mirror (?!) now) news, muppet central has produced to date for TXP, where do you think the share price would be in that scenario?!

I don't think that will be the case but, a lot of the reserves are based on development wells crystallising as expected are they not?!

Of course I'm not SS. It was a very obvious deal for TXP, nothing "genius" in it, as was the TRIN deal, (probably).

This asset is nothing at all to Shell but potentially a very good purchase for TXP.

The timing is not optimal of course, unless Casca starts to produce cash as we had earlier hoped but absolutely I think it is a good deal. I'd have preferred a little cheaper (ahem!) but then again I always say that, whether I'm buying a kebab or a car!! All IMHO.

Before the "genius" club come out, this probably is the right timing for such an acquisition chronologically, however I caveat that statement, that I would have had a more simple modular approach to Casca, reduced the exploration to minimum commitments and requested delays for the wells had they become an "issue" and, bobs your uncle, we would have been awash with cash now, with probably less shares in issue but hey ho, we have the gonzo club here, so our destiny a lot less certain than that scenario now!! Again imho and best of luck all!

The only bone I can pick there, is that I'm sure I've seen something similar over the past couple of years, not necessarily by SM of course and, here we find ourselves share price wise!!

I think people misinterpreted my 50% rise in a day post, due to me not being clear.

What I meant to convey was, with the share price continually dropping, even eith the (in)famous "expected" 50 % in a day, when it finally arrives (?!), it will probably take us no higher than 30 to 31p and sit around forever to get through that "resistance" level!!

I just thank god we have such a "genius" , excellent value, hard working lean, efficient BoD "machine" at the helm because if we didn't, where on Earth would the share price be now?

This is the bread and butter of the o&g industry. Building such an appropriately engineered bridge (which I expect it to be so) will have been risk assessed, planned and budgeted at the time of rig decision in the transportation and security risk weighting of chosen rig.

People look at the bridge in amazing awe (and see it as a justification for yet another "delay") but respectfully it is just part of the business. As ever all IMHO.

Do people remember the Discord posts either based on verbal assurances by Gonzo or e mails, I cannae remember which (?) that there was an expectation of II's coming onboard (positively queueing up!) after this Casca scenario!! Lol.

If I were an II, I'd be careful of investing other people's money in a CEO who doesn't know what he doesn't know and, seems to waste (or spend inefficiently) an inordinate amount of limited money "everywhere"?

It's not difficult and in this capex restrained environment is material compared to the original well costs? IMHO.

Sturm, I don't think a person such as you describe makes any difference to the share price.

Generally speaking the share price responsibility, ownership profile and performance sits with the board of directors but obviously TXP could be different in that regard?!

I suppose what we have to ask is, what has TXP "management " actually ever achieved upper quartile (except comparative BoD size and salary of course)?

The HSE statistics are good, I think but, apart from that, everything else mediocre at very best? Hope I'm wrong as well. All, IMHO. C'est la vie.
