LOL - I wonder if any of the previous "fans" of IOG management here (generally the investors who have never worked in E&P) now look back on some of the posters who are more "seasoned investors" and people who actually work in E&P, would re-consider their respective posts (and investments) over the years.
I have a reasonable performing portfolio and the opportunity costs of my holdings here, when compared to the average held elsewhere in E&P, are simply frightening.
If these guys can get their ltip awards, when compared to their peer group TSR performances respectively, then something is very wrong with the performance criteria set here.
I am not sure and as a conversation starter, I'd say the only worse performing "management" team, in comparable E&P type companies would be PHAR - who have introduced similar ridiculous ltips award criteria recently - can anyone think of worse?
As ever all IMHO, DYOR , "pub talk" and post genuinely meant as a stimulation for debate?
