They're not getting that kind of pricing for the moment and likely to remain the same for sometime - although as is the case with crude oil prices - you'd be a fool to try and guestimate these - too much in future at the moment!
Again further "(opportunity) costs" for not getting started on time and be in a better position to have possibly starting hedging at better prices - but there you are - lower quartile management just keep on reducing value. IMHO.

Absolutely - BH have no inclination at all to become operators (IMHO) - so that is a non starter - why do people suppose it's a "done deal" and more a case of "when rather than if"?
The best chance for take over was years ago and would likely have added significant value compared, to time value of money held here. So much opportunity cost here in the interim.

The great management that everyone on here supported and lauded - especially so when the "wide boy spivs of RRE" (now KIST) visited - I wonder if those same people are laughing so heartily now?

Exactly - however it still should be noted LOG are in the amazingly generous position of having to manage, in the not too far future, not to exceed a 30% holding in company?!
Who knows what is going on here - probably market not trusting mediocre management and some clever financial instruments being utilised to protect profits "given" to a lot of large institutions - or simply smallie profit takers, think probably correctly, there are better opportunities elsewhere.
I've got to admit from my (current) portfolio balance, I cannot personally find any - especially at this price - and am hoping we will get to hear something relatively positive in the next couple of months - which will offset and allow LOG to find a solution to their (nice to have) problem?

That was the way "it was" regarding BoD interface with II's but now of course (for E&P's) this is becoming far far more difficult due to II's getting rid of stock due to ESG reasons etc. - but that should NOT be the case here so I am surprised if they do not know what is "going on"? .
Either way here as you allude - they cannot control sellers / buyers - but they can try and influence them by being an excellent pro-active management team in the first place which should naturally deter most sellers or have a plan B for larger holders that do want to dispose?
My own take is simply LOG have to dispose of stock
1. To give them money to purchase cheaper "give away" "options" and
2. To avoid increasing above 30% threshold
3. The MM's are NOT in cahoots to drive the price down they are doing their best in a damned difficult situation specifically "designed" by the Bod - the writing for which has long long been on the wall.
4. I cannot remember who it was that criticised me for being "on the management" "all" the time and asked me to justify this - and all I said was look at the BS structure - before we even get onto the other abysmal management OPERATIONAL performance(S).

Still to some people this structure was the great save and seemed like fried gold to most people on here at the time - except for me and some ex major in the army I seem to remember??!

Nothing at all to do with the give away capital structure or other issues of lowest quartile management over the years lol.

It was a shot across the bows - for further engagement but the management seemed to close any doors on communications - which I found (truly) arrogant - I'm sure an all share offer could have been done?
