Whilst this is a tangled web I do tend to agree that YA have a good idea of what is coming and would rather hold shares rather than take cash. It may be a higher risk strategy but that is the game they are in hence the high interest rate. all IMHO

Is most of this control done at the well head or is mainly down the hole? the thought of controlling those pressures way down the hole is very cleaver

As a side issue I did physics at Uni so understand the theory but as I soon found out converting theory into practicality is the real skill.

From memory - I seem to remember a past discussion that at present what we do have coming out the ground is heavily chocked back. Your below answer would sugust that there would need to be an increase in daily production.
Does this mean that chokes would need to opened up? is this an easy process for as I understand things the choke is a very finely balanced decision or have got this wrong?

In simple terms there best guess was hat Schlumberger were one of the two majors. I would also add that that in there words we were the talk of the city that two majors had been announced most odd for a small AIM company..

They know as much as we so but it is their best guess.

Whilst I would agree with you in your last sentence that the run up to the Georgian elections is going on and may be having an effect. You are aware as we all are the Markets can be very fickle over such things. My own view for who it is worth given both what has been posted on here ( and thanks to those who did the research and posted) and my own bits and pieces, I personally believe that general direction of travel of the Georgian Gov will not change what ever the results. There is simply too much at stake in the one things that keeps political
bodies in check that being other peoples money.
The overall investment/loans/grants available from the West is large by Georgian standards and of course all these monies have strings attached which in principle are designed to keep Georgia facing west and to take western democratic principles etc on Board. I would accept that they are on a journey but if Georgia decide not take these on board then ways will be found to shall we say delay or make difficult, access to these announced funds very difficult indeed - that's the way it works. If this was just in vacuum of knowledge of the Georgian people then it would not really matter but it is not in a democratic vacuum as this has been widely published in the Georgian press and I have no doubt that the visit by the Georgian PM to the USA and Trump has been timed deliberately.
I would accept that Georgia is still in a period of transition so there journey is still a long one but it is traveling in the Wests ideals. I am therefore not totally convinced that what ever the results of the Presidential s it will make huge difference in the medium term - perhaps a few little local difficulties- and unknowns are affecting Market confidence for that is what a market feeds on to some extent.
I would accept that this may also be affecting us directly until the results are known and may be affecting some timings directly related to us. Overall I am not worried just normal market jitters- The market will get over it when they know the results of the elections.

Much of this will have been signalled one way or another BEFORE the public announcement of the Majors.

It is to me definite that a pathway has been defined for the future of Georgian economy and therefore the O&G side.

Some of my worries have gone for the time being . It is now all down to whats in the ground and who /when somebody will get it out as I believe the technical s either are or will be overcome. To me it is now all a matter of timing. Luckily I can hang on in here so can ride the ups and downs and I do expect a few.

I think it is about the 2/3 time I have a buy on in public and I have been here a while

If I may add to your analysis re the International Oil& G Community.

Over the years the O&G majors have been a victim of a number of Political actions ranging from making life just difficult all the way through to wholesale nationalisation with no compensation after huge investments. They are in general very risk adverse when it comes to any hint of political instability. For a number of reasons ranging from law suits - low oil price and the list goes on. Many have still not fully recovered which has resulted in many positive changes both in management and the way they work.

Whilst we have no idea about the recent interest of two majors I would find it hard to believe that they would go down this path without a full risk assessment covering about everything we could think about from reputation all the wau through. I would accept that they could pull out at any time again for many reasons but the stability of Georgia and its external neighbours I believe would have been included. Things can of course change due to unexpected actions by others but all of life is a risk.

If all of this does go forward the amount of investment needed will be large at the initial stages, I do not believe they would have even signed the NDA's if they believed the political risk was too great.

Those that do not understand the the energy industry and any geo political matters are inter twined are simply at the lower end of the learning curve.
This is a discussion board not the United nations or the Board of a Major O/G Company all comments welcome with only one or two exceptions. You have raised valid and reasonable comments which are relevant!

Many thanks for your better knowledge. Still think it is worth re raising the issue of delivery at the next meeting as it is crucial for day to day income. Dodgy roads how ever good the vehicles ( and I hope they are ex Russian as they are built like tanks as opposed to euro CXXP) can cause issues

You are of course right when it comes to the Majors but at present it is us and a few lorries to get income from the oil and every barrel counts at the moment. we have bills to pay. As to what the majors do simple. build what ever they need. job done but we are not there yet.

Russia may well want it's oil fields back but I think the presence of the US and the positioning of the Georgian Gov will make it difficult.
To add to this from what I have picked up ( others will know better) The Russians simply do not have the technology to get the stuff out of the ground anyway.
There is no doubt that Russia is sabre rattling but I think ( hand hope ) that is all it is. The Majors will be very well plugged into this and the Russian military exorcise was well signaled long before the last RNS came out

ME quoting the road was really only an example and you may be right, but some time before the last public meeting there was a big discussion on "delivery method" It was mainly based about can we cope with increased production in the field and it moved onto the trains as well From what I can remember it seem that the road tankers we were/are(?) using were old heavy off road vehicles and the present roads in the field did suffer in winter months. What I was more pointing to was if there could be a public motorway built where we could then use bigger and more modern methods of road transport. At the time it was a big discussion as it then went onto pipe line stuff.
There will be others on the board who may well be in a better position to answer than me on this subject. Given the importance of this and how the Comapny have moved on it may well be a good question when we have our next public meeting

You make a very good point backed up by the detail in your post. I would however suggest that with this amount of attention, the pressure is building up in a positive way fro Georgia to increase its rate of change. The question I ask myself is "have they done enough for the political will and pressure to translate into practice investment of a substantial nature?" We already know that substantial monies have come in from Governments which whilst being very positive may not have translated into practical action on the ground yet. To me some of the actions on the ground are part of the hold up in a general sense and also directly affects us. for example we already have oil coming out of the ground but it has to travel by rough track to the rail head- not perhaps the best way and to some extent limiting. even in the short term a temporary new road service would be helpful. A bit too much detail may be but it all adds up.

I personally believe the pressure behind the dam is building up and the breaking of the log jam is close but we are just not quite yet there yet but it is unstoppable. it is as all LTH's know just a matter of time and patience
