I seem to remember when Zaza was asked about consolidation that he was clear that on broker advice the share price would need to at least 2p and then just as a throw away comment either from Zaza or somebody it came out "the Majors don't like shares at our low prices when it comes to J/V buy out or what ever" I am not sure if this is true but could it be that the whole point of the raising of the YA issue and what seems to be an ongoing organic rise on a dayly basis at present - (slow but sure) is all part of the plan and the majors are waiting until we reach such a price?.. Could just be a complete guess on my behalf- Any views

As i have previously posted Yellow Jersey have always welcomed any questions before the meeting to be sent to them. See no reason why this should be different this time

You need to talk your Broker. In the past what ever money you put in up to the limit WAS all you could do. If you took money out it made no difference so in effect the amount you had put in for that year was still counted.

Things have changed now . I shall not go into any specific detail as I am not an FA and have not needed to myself yet however I do have friends in the city who are FA's. They tell me that some brokers will happily do it -other discourage it as they do not have the computer systems in place yet ( the rule changes took place this financial year and were not expected) They can do it manually but is a real pain in the backside so shall we say they do not advertise much.

It is a bit like bed and ISA and the transaction charges - as opposed to just asking for a action if you ask specifically you can reduce transaction charges.

I strongly advise making a phone call to your Broker.

Ta nothing wrong with a bit of clarification mate! ( I mean of my original post). The important thing is to be looking forward. ( Had huge pub disagreements in the past that history is history) The real key for me here is that whilst the actions of Zaza and co had to take place it could be quite a big battle. Which sets me thinking that our two majors are a bit more involved than is on the surface. I remember zaza saying at a previous meeting his views on YA and possible actions.

This all seems very well planed to me. perhaps too well planed for a company of our size. We shall wait and see.
Decided further that I shall keep my views close to the chest. V.V.V. frightened of waking up vinny for what is a very good days posting coupled with the rise in the dollar, a sensible rise so far on the price and the POO ( Think there will be a stable Ave price of $80 for Brent for a while) Georgian PM on the March and a couple of other things.Looks like a bit of fair weather for a while. Sorry if I gave the wrong impression ( Lot of pressure at home today builders! need I say more) I most certainly do not have the view that YA gave us any favours! I may well give a more lucid view after a couple or more pints after our next formal meeting.
I was trying to put over that it was the option taken at that time hence the need must etc. So my wrist have been slapped and quite rightly so.

I do think that for some the knowledge of the past history is relevant remember we very nearly went bust ( You and others should really write that book)

My own style is that I would rather wait until we have a bit more information before I let rip in public not only here but over the use of such Companies like YA evening being allowed to practice there evil trade. I would like to think that the actions taken so far have the backing of our Majors for while they wish to gain access to new assets as cheaply as possible that's called business even they prefer honorable practice. I would like to project more but this is not the time of the place other than to say the exposure to what I view as sharp practice requires a change in legislation.

Nothing wrong with your post and even I can not remember the full details but the Board ( Zaza and co) have not taken any wages for a considerable period of time.
For your own information - The history of FRR is quite a story and this is not the place to write the book (others I am sure will) But as Company they were all OK and well self funded until a number of outside matters hit them hard. The list is too long for here but as an idea . POO went down to the bottom/ world financial crises. Internal and external Politics and the list goes on. Even the Majors were badly hit but were able to ride the storm ( Who would not lend at good rates to say Exon?) The only thing that kept the Company from being Bankrupt (and many other small oilers did) was people like YA and the Share holders and all based upon what was believed to be in the ground. Add to this a number of false promises by other resulting in us winning costly legal cases. The recovery from those low points is an example to many other Companies.
I think that Zaza dislike is based upon past experience with others but as you say needs must.

Totally agree re schlum but at the end of the day as long as it is somebody major as sahreholders we should not care that much.

Whilst this is course a bit of an upbeat rag the BP comments about Georgia and there involvement really is very positive. I liked the fact that they have signed agreements to run until mid century coupled with the photo's of the gas plant which is huge. Glad we have been given access to the gas pipeline as our gas is of good enough quality.

I will add my bit Mrs Merkle has made it public that the big gas interconector from Russia ( Nordstrom XX) will be purely a commercial development really does show this if all the chips fall into place just how important we are to Europe's energy resilience

Just an observation ! Funny how this board ALWAYS lightens up when there is a chance of a piss up. Even in the darkest times of the past it always did. And we are just the serious investors!!

On a more serious note. In the past it has always been helpful and Yellow Jersey have always ways been willing to accept questions before the meeting so the Company can have answers ready so I presume they are willing to again.
In the past it has always tended to be from those who have attended so just a bit of a heads up but it looks like one or two can not make the meeting - Perhaps YJ could collect the questions on their behalf You can only ask

I have always found it useful to look Zaza in the eyes especially after the formal meeting. Had many a one to one with him. And I look forward to the next meeting. I am however a long term holder who can afford to take the long view.

Not that long ago w3e were talking about energy resilience in gas to Europe and how if our gas comes out how beneficial it would be to us.
It looks like the German Government is going cool on the gas connector and just leaving it as a commercial venture. Do they know something about our potential gas perhaps via a major?
Taken from Seeking Alpha - Germany's government sees the proposed Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which would bring Russian gas direct to Germany under the sea and bypassing transit countries, as primarily a commercial venture but wants clarity on the implications for Ukraine.

In many case it does not matter how many lawyers you have (apart from the cost) If there is a case in law to answer it only takes one to find the right bit of case law. Whilst I am not a lawyer I have ended up many times in court as an expert witness and seen Goleth fall to the actions of Sampson IF the case is good

A lot of this is over my head. Yes I admit it. but given some of the comments on here today some with suggested actions for PI's to do.
There is however one area that has been highlighted by YJ is their second post that in effect this has caused a storm in social media.
I find it hard to believe that the NOMAD would not have been aware that this would not have caused a storm not only with us but others who have has to use the services of Companies like YA. If I am correct The Nomad would have required a lot of evidence to have approved the RNS. It is not only there own reputation at stake but it will have alerted many others to look closely at their financial arrangements and any market effects. This is either a storm in tea cup or it has raised a substantive issue relating in effect to contact Law. IF this does end up in Court it will have perhaps big consequences.

At the end of the day if the RNS is completely correct I am not worried at all as I am a LTH any court case will trundle along in the background for ages by which time we may well be more formally involved with one or teo of the majors.

At this stage the words "Don't Panic comes to mind
