this update from zephyr is indeed a pleasant gift from the board, the non-0perated production has risen thanks to highly effective management of the portfolio and does the job of providing decent cash flow that can be dedicated to the paradox basin.

on the subject of the paradox it is good to see that a great deal of work is going into the 36-2r as it will be known and then another well to be drilled following after the re-drill. there is much needed confidence from the management team with regard to the paradox, we should be reminded that the dominion energy pipeline will be completed which gives total access for gas sales from the area including all the satellite footprints.

despite last year’s operational difficulties zephyr has still got the paradox as its prime target and the way that the 36-2 well played out they are very confident that the re-drill and its follow-up well will deliver for shareholders.

readers know that i have a very high regard for the zephyr management team and accordingly shareholders should expect to see an exciting and rewarding time in 2024, at these levels i dont think it is extravagant to put a target price of 20p on the shares.

From the 1St November RNS

In December 2022, the Company announced that it had acquired a working-interest in six recently spudded wells (the "Wells") operated by Slawson Exploration Company ("Slawson"). The working interests acquired range from 11% to 32% and Zephyr's management estimated the Wells to contain 2P reserves, net to Zephyr, of circa 550,000 barrels of oil equivalent.

Following the recent completion of the associated production facilities, the Company is pleased to announce that is has been notified by Slawson that the Wells are scheduled to be brought online today, 1 November 2023.

So no there not the wells.... Zephyr wells only brought online 01/11/23

Good news here as the Slawson wells coming onstream will add decent production and revenue to Zephyr which will be allocated to the Paradox campaign or more non-operated production.

At the same time there has been a successful outcome to the semi-annual redetermination of the Company’s revolving credit facility, carried out by the Company’s senior lender, North-Dakota based First International Bank and Trust.

Regulation stuff here from Zephyr who remain up there in the best managements in the sector as they have developed a fine non-operated portfolio here, also the semi-annual redetermination is a bit light as it has yet to include the Slawson wells going live today.

So, Zephyr has decided to redrill the 36-2 well as a ‘twinned’ and presumably appraisal well and it is being paid for by the insurance company. Hopefully a rig can be procured swiftly and this long and drawn out process can be concluded, the company has suggested that it is effectively permitted and will hopefully spud in 1Q 2024.

In the meantime there will be another well on the Paradox in 1H 2024 probably using that same rig and likely on the Salt Wash Field. The company have restarted the 28-11 well at the Paradox using the existing workover rig and will be a producer albeit a modest one but any contribution as they say and it will go into the adjacent pipe.

Finally a nice little farm-into redevelop the remaining reserves of the Salt Wash Field, which lies directly to the south of the WSU, and with it comes access to a helium play, not what you might expect but with prices at $1,000/mscf not to be sniffed at.

As always Zephyr management challenge the industry norm and here, despite the operational problems at 36-2 they are getting with that redrill and adding more interesting projects to the portfolio, patience may be needed but Zephyr is a keeper…

Surely that's the problem, they're not flaming.

Dsrt2012 post states well 16-3 which is in the insurers hands but surely he means 36-2...

I hope I'm wrong but this looks the same as every update we have had on 36-2 since the blow out.

Operations team continues to complete the well work required prior to commencement of a production test.

Thus... share price falls on still ongoing operations and more excuses.
