Interesting plan.
Another one might be to go back to listing in New York. Seems the last time I looked up share ownership 35% of shares are held in US anyway
STP,
Saw that. Honestly it is really embarrassing for the country. US tourists are the golden goose. Be interesting to see how I feel walking around Dublin at night. Now that they have caught them, a loud message will be sent
Actually I am more concerned with the IMS next week. Hopefully it will be good enough that the share hits a new 52 week high

Howya lad,
Hope all well w you. A little over 6 weeks before I go. Any chance you are around then?
Rory
STP,
Good to see yout post. Lots of green on my end. Will be home in August. would love to meet up again then
Rory
torq,
Couldnt agree more. It really is such a shame. There was good informative discussion, now I check it rarely. I didnt worry about the last drop. Figured it was just a knee jerk reaction to SVB. Hopefully clearer sailing from here.
Good luck all
Rory
Aps, thanks for the note. I will be in Dublin for nieces wedding mid to late Aug. Will reach out as we get closer.
Rory
STP,
Howya lad, been a while. I have looked occasionally but honestly not compelled to contribute. Probably just my fault. Was good to see Radar back on a bit ago. we are a long way past the sp we hoped to get, when the Mulligans was first suggested. I know I will have a trip home in late August.
On a point of order, I think I suggested moving from Mulligans to Neary's. This was due to all the construction being done around Mulligans and the fact the entire neighborhood has changed. It had also something to do with the bat staff at Neary's being proper Dublin barmen.
Regardless, am up for meeting again while there. Maybe Aug 21 or 22.
Not seen much of APS in the last while. Any idea how he is doing?
Rory
Midwest, The US share price is a kinda irrelevant thing, Today, so far, less that 10k shares have traded. I have often seen the BKRIF be as much as 10% higher and lower than the calculations would indicate. That all being said, it's a nice place to be now with this share
ArdRi, Although I dont think you say it plainly, it seems to me your position is that a SF government will not be bad for the banking sector. Is this right? I have read about MaryLou's trip over to US and meeting with Tech but I think the past rhetoric from her has not been good about banks
Guilty on the Jackeen but in states since 78. I hope the house appreciation keeps going in your favor. I kinda think though that a correction in those values could be imminent. Good to read about all the visitors. I might be one in Oct. I have a family wedding in Sligo and am always happy to visit the north. Am stuck with a few NI Pounds I need to spend. Newcastle is a long way from Sligo but have been there on the last trip a few years ago. Very nice town as I recall.
Torq, good to see your post. As I recall you moved to NornIron a while ago and are settled there now. Seems from what I read the NI economy is the best of the 4. Will be interesting what comes out of Downing St in next few months and what the effect will be on NI. I dont think it will be good for you guys
Any chance we all agree to block the Triad. I have, but, even mentioning them give oxygen to the BS
STP, Thanks for that. Filtering is needed just for sanity IMO
Knew Dublin prices are what they are. About a month ago I did look into renting a car for a week mid Jul. Price came back around 3k. Prices have always been expensive in Ireland v rest of EU. In Sep 2021 a car in Dub for 10 days was twice as much as renting one in Copenhagen. At least in my case, w current exchange rate to USD, some of the sting is taken out. Enjoy yourself there
Lots of travelling for you then Sticky. Good luck with all of that and the new job. I have retired myself but am slightly failing at it. I keep taking on other part time consulting work. We do have a family trip back to Ireland for a wedding in October. Its shaping up to be a week long event. we are thinking about a few weeks in Italy beforehand but nothing set in stone.
Our little share is showing signs of surpassing the Francesca high. Be interesting to see where it goes from here. I still think EU banks and FKIR are way cheap. Am holding on till the 9 Euro price is achieved
Howya Sticky, Hope all well w you.
My dividend showed up a couple of days ago. My account is in US.
They hit me for "foreign tax" which reduces the dividend. However given that all the rest of my stocks have been hammered over the last few months, our FKIR is my best performing share.
Johnhume,
Wont the Feb results be great. Given that Central Bank has said that lending on mortgages has now surpassed 2008 levels?
Sure there are a few newer players in the market and there are lots of BofI bashers. However when push comes to shove, I think most like the security of dealing with a known bank in your own country. It also helps knowing that the Central Bank is keeping an eye over everything
As many of you bemoan, way too much green on this board. I rarely check-in anymore. It is good to see our share rise.
Does anyone remember this quote from years ago. It is a remark on the abilities of some stock-pickers that were around at the time.
"There are none, just a load of clowns who are waiting to be turned into shrewd investors by the effluxion of time."
If memory serves, I think it was Radar. Hopefully there are a few still here who can correct me.

Did you see this in today's Irish Times?
Debt ruling allows Waterford man pay €93 mortgage per month
Net of article seems to be that courts are going to inflict more pain on banks
With you lad. all 3 filtered now.
Also hoping for real discussion supported by thought out theories.
Nobody is right all the time. I do pay attention to thoughts that are supported rather than just BS ****ted out.
