dont pay much attention to NYC price. This share usually trades under 10k shares per day. About every 3 or so Months there could be 1 day with 100k shares traded
Howya lad. been a long time. I do check this once in a while but not often. I am close to you regarding being in the money on this however for first time in years, I think its going our way. I need the price to go up more so I can afford another trip to Mulligan's
X4Eu2, The 20% you speak of is fine when you look at it on face value. However the unfortunate part is that it was closer to 40% when I bought. Still have a ways to go to break even on this FKIR
Not sure how many of us are based in the US that are on this board. I think its just you and me. We certainly have a problem with liquidity. I am really not sure that we are going to be able to solve that in the near term. What are your thoughts? The only way I can think of would be to try and reach out the the fine folks at Blackrock to see if they have an interest.
and this was all done in 2014 when we were thinking we were not too far away from 50c (15 Euro in todays money). We then figured out that 50c would be too elusive and settled on 40c. We got close enough to just pull the trigger on Mulligans but it never made the 40c. Now a bunch of us have hung on for 4 years and are still hoping for 40c
is very low. Any chance the folks in finance are taking off for Martin Luther King day?
I think you are a little off in the maths. Dublin closed at 7.825. Dividing that by 30 I get a little over 26 cent
Hopefully there will be lots of talk about a return trip to Mulligans and maybe even a few more will actually show up. Happy New Year all
It does trade in US as an "F" share which I think stands for foreign. Its ticker is BKRIF. many days no shares trade and since the reverse split the max shares I see traded is in the 30k range. All this means is it really does not trade in US
Would love to get some more myself. the big problem is that since the reverse split the volume in US is pitiful. An average day the share volume is under 1000 and then every now and then it jumps as high as maybe 20k shares. I think I am stuck with what I have for a long time
last time we were this low was last November. Any ideas on what current dive is about?
Maybe so, I hope you are right. I just dont see a lot of momentum about another election in UK to help them change their mind.
Hi 2CV, Am Still on Kansas City and no plans on leaving. tomorrow I am 20 years a US citizen and in June I will have spent 40 years in the US. I am still as confused as ever by our FKIR. I still maintain that ultimately the Brexit effect on it will be minor. Assuming it happens BoI will have a business in Ireland that will do well and a separate business in UK that will do well. I fully understand that the effect on Irish economy could be large given that out of our 10 largest industries, UK is our largest trading partner in 7 of those. Nevertheless all these things will be worked through ny individuals who need to find different markets for their goods. Yes it will be a choppy few years but I still believe all will be fine in the end. The other thing I find unusual about the comments on the board is all the talk about "fixing" the share price. At one stage the believe was that after a reverse split all this manipulation would stop. Net result as far as I see is we have exactly the same movement in the share price. Ultimately there are buyers and sellers. Glad to see we dont seem to have been hurt by tracker stuff. I think it was the worry about it that drove the share down so much. Much has been made of the hurricane in Ireland. People do not know enough about their history. Ireland gets them every 60 +/- years As you can see I dont post much these days. Thankfully I am busy with the construction work. Certainly still a long way from making any money with this stock but, at the end of the day, I am hoping not to need this money for years to come and by then Banks will hopefuly no longer have PE ratios of 1.0 ish Good luck all
30 to 1 reverse split. Take your 200k and multiply it by 30 and you get millions
http://www.capitalcube.com/blog/index.php/bank-of-ireland-group-plc-undervalued-relative-to-peers-but-dont-ignore-the-other-factors/?yptr=yahoo Dont think I am very familiar w Capital Cube but this popped up on my feed. If nothing else it is encouraging news. I also see the ADR is trading again in the US. Its symbol is BKRIF
It is still in process. My account with Ameritrade currently lists it as a series of numbers and a letter. I did send a note to my broker last week and he tells me they are waiting on receipt of the new shares
While the ADR is gone the shares still trade in US. They trade as IRLBF. the volume is nowhere near where it used to be and the lack of volume does produce premiums/discounts up to +/- about 5%. When ADR went away one of the options was to change 1 ADR share for 40 IRLBF shares.
