It won't be long before the UK Government realises they can not export any Electricity to the Republic of Ireland while their own National Electricity supply is in deficit to demand.
Shan't be long to wait

The announcement by the ESB that they plan to construct an additional Natural-Gas Electricity Generating Station output 299 MW while welcome is a somewhat late to avoid an Electricity Supply crisis in the Republic of Ireland.
The previous Taoiseach Micheal Martin stated about 1 year ago that Irelands requires 7 Natural-Gas Electricity Generating Station to meet the the projected Electricity demand. From memory the planning for construction was anticipated to start in 2023. The duration of Construction of each Natural-Gas Electricity Generating of similar output is in the region of 2 -3 Years all going to plan.
I await news on the 6 further Natural-Gas Generating Stations.
Perhaps the Natural Gas supply or lack of to fuel these Electricity Generating Stations has become a reality and has resulted in the delay.
Only a matter of time before an Electricity Generating Stations offline.
They are working flat out to supply at present.
Servicing time very restricted. Servicing schedules have to be agreed with the Government.
The Seasonal Weather patterns have to be taken into account.
It must be like trying to read the tea leaves.

Some questions to the contributors on this forum.
How does a shareholders registered their vote in this particular instance if they reside outside the UK.
I read a contribution on this forum that the closing date is the 27th of January.
So time is short in this instance.

Donald,
So Joe Public has to up €221.00 euros today per Mwh to appease Minister Eamonn Ryan.
When a barrel of Brent Petroleum costs in the region of £87.00 Sterling.
1 Barrel of Petroleum equates to 1.5 MW of Electricity.
Which equates approx €75.00 Euros for the base fuel to create 1 MW of Electricity.
In turn it is costing Joe Public approx for 1 Barrel of Petroleum equivalent approx €350.00 Euros, when we are importing Electricity Today.
Rather than Generating the Electricity ourselves.
Very high imports on a regular basis lately.
Today with lower a Generation demand we are importing a very high percentage of the Electricity requirements .
Is there the probability that a number of Electricity Generating Stations are out of production for unscheduled servicing or breakdowns.
If this is the case I haven't read or heard about it in the Media.
Minister Eamonn Ryan's department projects that Ireland will require 7 Gigawatts of Electricity Generating production from Wind Farms both onshore and offshore to meet the Republic of Ireland's Climate Targets.
Today the wind Generated Electricity Generation is decreasing further presently it approx 2% (135MW).
To produce the 7 Gigawatts of Electricity from Wind Turbines at a sufficient Electricity production to meet demand on an all year round basis I calculate it will require up to a factor of 40 the quantity of Wind Turbines currently projected.

Output from Wind and Solar Electricity mid afternoon today 2.5 % of the Electricity demand.
You are doing a terrific job at screwing up the Electricity Production capabilities of the Republic of Ireland Minister Eamonn Ryan.
Where are our responsible Politicans, they must be aware to what is happening.
Why haven't they given Minister Eamonn Ryan a political bloody nose by now.

Toroil,
Intermittent production whether it is 100% on an occasional basis or 30%, or 3% is irrelevant.
The Electricty Generating status in Ireland is on knife edge.
For instance if only one Generating Station goes offline in the Country expect blackouts.
If 2 Power Stations go down stay in bed.
A 1st World Economy should have the Electricity Production capability to bring online ancillary Electricity Generating Stations to counterbalance exceptional supply demand situations.
No use at all toroil is it.
No point pretending.
No dependable.
Never a success in a country.
Germany has spent Billions upon Billions of Euros over 20 years.
Still the only reliable 24 hour on demand 365 every day, morning to night ,all year, Electricity Generating System for Germany and every other Country is to stored Energy in Natural-Gas, Petroleum , Uranium.
